Soft chest
In a flash my heart endures the sudden cracking of a rib, the stretching of a body tissue in my chest. It was the sound of my heart softening for you. It's a piercing lunge that settles, echoing through my body, sweltering the voices that drain the energy out of me.
Sometimes I like to put my hand on your chest to see if it's still beating, to see if you're still standing next to me. Your skin is so soft, your bones so close, and it pulls me towards you like a silent whistle begging me to stay home.
