You woke up at 11pm to see Miguel working while watching tv.

"Daddy?" You muttered as he took his glasses off and looked at you.

"Bebita? Why are you awake? Is the TV too loud?" He asked as he put his laptop down and looked over to you.

You shuffled over, still clutching your teddy and climbed up onto the couch to sit next to your father.

You played with your bear while staring at the floor.

"What's wrong, darling?" He asked as you leant into him.

"I had a dream about Rachel." You muttered, Miguel always hated that you never called your mother Mom or Mommy, it was always her name.

"Baby, you can call her Mom." He said as you shook your head.

"No... She isn't my Mom, she's just the lady that carried me and couldn't afford an abortion." You muttered as Miguel sighed an picked you up to sit in his lap.

"Darling, you shouldn't say that stuff. I know it's hard, but some things are difficult in life. Sometimes people make mistakes." He said as you felt tears in your eyes.

"So I'm just a mistake." You muttered making your father sigh again.

"No, love. That's not what I'm saying, I'm saying that your mother and I dated for a bit and never really planned anything else. When I found out she was pregnant she was too far along to do anything about it. I vowed that I would take care of you and love you until the end of time. Your mother does care about you, but she can't care for you like I can." He tried to explain as you nodded a little.

"I'm glad I have you." You whispered making him smile.

"I'm glad I have you too, Angel."
