The Plagued One

It was odd.
You had been multiverse hopping since you could remember. At first it would happen in your dreams but eventually you would phase into other universes by accident even when you weren't sleeping.
But, one thing you learnt was that it never lasted long. You would go to these other realities without meaning to, visit from time to time and then they would be destroyed, as if they had never existed. The last one you destroyed was the hardest one yet. Because people from that universe had been warning you over and over that you would cause their destruction. And, you wanted to listen and protect them. Yet, somehow you kept ending up there until it was gone.
Now, you were into the next one.
It wasn't too different from your original reality, a few differences here and there like brands being different but nothing extreme.
You sat outside of a store watching people go about their days. You knew they were next, this universe would be destroyed like all the others.
'If you come quietly I won't be forced to chase you down and rip your throat out,' a voice growled beside you. You slowly turned to see a tall man sitting beside you looking casual. But, his words said very different.
'You're a damn anomaly and you're coming with me before you destroy this world like all the others,' he said. Your eyes widened, he must be someone else who knew about the multiverse.
'You...you know about all of this?' you whispered. His eyes seemed to narrow at you as if he were looking at his worst enemy.
'Yes, I do. And I would rather you come willingly, I'm not in the mood to chase you,' he said. You nodded your head.
'Yes, okay I'll come with you,' you said. He looked at you with suspicion, confused why you'd agreed so quickly and almost excitedly.
'Put this on,' he demanded, handing you a bracelet.
'Uh, okay,' you clipped the bracelet on and looked at him expectantly.
'It's a tracker, so if you try to go elsewhere I'll know where you are,' he stood up suddenly and grabbed your upper arm. Pulling you along the streets and into an alleyway. He opened a portal with the device on his wrist and you looked at it in awe.
'Now that's just unfair, you can just do that whenever?' you asked. He rolled his eyes and pulled you through until you were out of the alleyway and in an odd place that didn't quite make sense. You glanced around at all the people in costumes.
'Is this some weird futuristic comic con?' you mumbled. The man didn't seem thrilled by your presence. He just rolled his eyes and dragged you along with him.
You made it to an odd looking office and he shoved you to the ground before pressing a button and an energy field went up around you. You glanced up at him in shock before kicking the energy field.
'Cool,' you mumbled as the man glared at you.
'Youve destroy six universes and you're acting like none of this matters. You think you can just prance around, have fun and destroy lives?' he growled. You stood up and looked at him. He was an intimidating precence to say the least.
'I don't do this on purpose, okay!?'
'What the hell do you mean you don't do it on purpose?'
'I can't control it. At first I thought it was just vivid dreams and nightmares. But it got real with every new dream,' you explained. He looked at you, his face hardening.
'This has never happened, someone accidentally traveling to other realities. If you're lying, I will find out. So, if there's something to tell me I suggest you tell me now,' he growled. You looked at him in shock.
'I promise I'm telling the truth. Nothing will come out of me lying to you. I genuinely want help, I don't want to hurt anyone,' you whispered. Miguel paused and looked you up and down.
'So you're not young and idiotic? This really is something you can't control?' he asked, stepping towards the energy field that trapped you.
'I swear on my life. I didn't even know someone like you existed. I mean is this like...in between realities? What is this place? Who are you?' you asked. Miguel groaned and rubbed his head, mumbling something under his breath.
'Are you always this insufferable?'
'Yes,' you said staring at him without blinking. He stood still with his hands on his hips and stared back at you.
'My name is Miguel O'hara. This place is a hq for people like me to protect the multiverse from people like you,' he grumbled. You put up your hands in defence.
'Okay, okay. I get it. But I don't mean this okay? Despite what you might think I don't want these realities to be destroyed. I lose people, I don't want them to disappear,' you mumbled. Miguel sighed, he could see true remorse in your eyes.
'Fine, I believe you,' he grumbled reluctantly, 'we'll figure this out.'
'Good, cause I can't keep doing this. Glad you gave me this little bracelet, it'll come in handy for when I...' you weren't able to finish your sentence before you disappeared without another word. Miguel groaned and face-palmed.
'Dios mio...'
