Mount Justice II, 8/20/15, 2:12 PM
Two months. It was two months since the end of the war between Lex Luthor, Vandal Savage, and the forces of justice. So much happened during it and so much changed because of it. The new Watchtower was now almost built, the Team had gained new members and lost old ones, and the world changed so much. Two months, that was all that had passed yet it seemed like years.
Garfield had grown a lot more in that time, as Miss Martian had observed. So had many others on the team. Megan's relationship with Connor had only grown and their bond was stronger than ever. The same could be said for Kaldur and Cassie. The two were closer than they had been ever before. Kaldur seemed more at peace, ever since he began visiting his father in prison and learning more about his true heritage. Megan still had a mistrust for Black Manta, but she never spoke it. Blue Beetle or Jaime Reyes had become the Team's new recruiter and he was good at it too. Grant or Damage, Courtney or Stargirl, and Wildebeast had all decided to join the Team after the fight with Vandal Savage. Kyle Rayner, now a Green Lantern had joined as well due to his young age. Finally, Batman had gained a new protégée: Robin II, ever since Dick left. Jason Todd was the second Robin, and he joined the Team after a long week in the wilderness with Jaime.
Dick was another topic. It seemed Dick Grayson had disappeared from the world. They knew little about him now except his new identity was no longer Robin, but now Nightwing. He rarely spoke to the Team, but there was one instance when he sent a message via phone call to Wally. He had warned them of organized crime growing in cities all around the continental United States. Villains like Penguin, Bane, and even Riddler were rising in power. Ever since, the Team and Justice League has cracked down on the crime.
Wally had changed since Artemis' death, but when Dick left he changed even more. Especially with the fact that the Flash had left the Justice League with Green Arrow. He was no longer the bubbly personality that Megan had known when first joining the Team. He was now quieter, more serious, and less quirky. It upset Megan at the thought of losing the old Wally, but she had no clue as to how to snap him out of his newer self.
Garfield had changed as well. Starfire had been a close friend to him before, and when she died everything came tumbling down. Cyborg left the Team for the Justice League which also effected Garfield. He was less quirky as well, but Blue Beetle helped to keep him up. Megan had observed Garfield and Wildebeast forming a bond being both similar in the fact that they both looked different. He was still Megan's little brother though, and she would never let him forget that.
Cyborg still kept in touch despite leaving. He kept them updated on events in the League. Doctor Fate had been a large part of it, being that the new host for the Lord of Order was Vandal Savage. The League was constantly on edge with Savage's body being there, but Fate kept them assured that Savage would never escape unless Fate removed the helmet. Green Arrow and the Flash were both rogue heroes now, like Dick or Nightwing. They kept little connection to the League anymore. Wally spoke little about it, but Megan knew it bothered him.
Another event that caused ripples in the world was the death of Lex Luthor. With him gone, Lex Corp collapsed and with that the peace in Uraria began to crumble as well. The United Nations Secretary General George Harrison requested that Bruce Wayne step in. With Wayne Tech stepping in to protect the peace, Uraria was now calming down. The Justice League was stepping up to the plate all over the world. New York City was being rebuilt with the help of Kilowog and Cyborg. The two were leading the charge to create a new technologically advanced city. The world was changing for the better for once.
Megan had noticed a small change in Kaldur though. After the battle, he seemed a bit different and less trusting. He took up tasks himself and took things even more seriously. Megan could not help but feel that he was keeping something from them. She did not know if it was about Dick or his father or something else entirely, but she knew he had something hidden from them. She once considered searching his mind for it, but she restrained herself from intrusion.
