Chapter Eighteen: Central City

Central City, 8/28/15, 3:42 PM

Hawkman sped through the air as the air-ship flew above Central City.  He flew around the air-ship as it blasted it's main cannon at the city.  The battle below was fierce as assassins took on the heroes that stood against them.  Hawkman flew near Hawkgirl, Firestorm, and Shazam as the air-ship moved over the city.  Their task was to board and take down the threat, but things had only gotten worse as the air-ship attacked.  They had learned that Ra's Al Ghul was the one attacking the city with many villains by his side too that were attacking the teens.

"I think we could puncture a hole in the bottom of the air-ship!"  Hawkman yelled as he flew around the front near Hawkgirl, "We could get in there and-!"

"Look out!"  Firestorm yelled blasting an object out of the air.  Hawkman squinted looking at the object, it was a drone.

"Drones?!"  Shazam exclaimed, "What is this?  I thought Ra's only used men!"

"Maybe there's more to this attack!"  Hawkgirl suggested flying towards the air-ship, "Let's find out!"  She roared hitting the bottom with her mace easily breaking through and entered the bottom.  Hawkman flew after her entering as well and the others joined shortly after.  They entered a large chamber inside the air-ship with a large space inside.

"Intruders!"  A voice yelled and a blast hit Hawkman back through the chamber and into the air.  He rubbed his eyes as the smoke cleared and looked up at at a large platform that stood in the middle of the chamber.  He widened his eyes as another blast hit him head-on.

"Atomic Skull!"  Hawkgirl yelled rushing the platform, but she was blasted back as well.

"Atomic who?"  Firestorm asked as he shielded himself from a drone and blasted it back.

"Atomic Skull!  A maniac with nuclear powers and an enemy of Superman!"  Shazam yelled as he slammed a drone down into another.  He quickly sped towards Atomic Skull, but he shielded himself with his arms from a blast of atomic energy.

Hawkman roared in anger as he slammed his mace into a drone and launched himself at the platform.   Suddenly, a blast of energy hit him straight on knocking him back.  Atomic Skull leaped down from the platform walking towards him.

"You all have nothing!"  He laughed, "Ra's!  They're in here!"  He yelled into a communicator and a door opened on the other side of the chamber as an individual entered with two figures flanking him.

"Ra's!"  Shazam yelled flying towards the man.

Hawkman flew forward smashing his mace at Atomic Skull, but the villain leaped back and hit Hawkman with another blast of energy.  Hawkman looked behind the Skull though as Hawkgirl moved up and raised her mace.  She quickly hit him on the head knocking him down and Hawkman raised himself up and kicked the villain in the chin knocking him down.

"Thanks."  Hawkman smiled as Hawkgirl sighed.

"Thank me later."  She snapped looking over as Firestorm flew down to help Shazam.  Ra's and his two goons were taking them on.  He recognized the two from the records:  Sportsmaster and Deathstroke.

Deathstroke leaped up through the air kicking Shazam in the chin and attaching some sort of collar to his neck as he flipped over him.  Shazam gripped the collar, but he suddenly dropped to the floor losing mobility.  Firestorm threw flames at Sportsmaster and Ra's, but Sportsmaster quickly threw a huge sphere into Firestorm knocking him back while Ra's leaped behind him kicking him down to his knees.

"Fools."  Ra's sneered, "You will die here as our plan takes full swing."  Ra's raised his sword up in the air, but Hawkgirl quickly knocked him over Firestorm and Hawkman slammed Deathstroke to the side helping Shazam up.
