Chapter Twenty-Six: Blüdhaven

The laugh.  It was his worst quality.  The thing that made Jason even angrier.  He had always dealt with it.  He thought of it as a mental weapon.  A tool to knock Jason down.  To scare him shitless, but Bruce always taught him otherwise.  He told him how to fight the Joker, or at least as well as he could.  Obviously, something was flawed.

Jason looked up as the Joker leaped off of his chair and skipped down to where his goons held Jason captive.

"Hello good little Robin!"  The Joker laughed taking Jason's face in his hands and looking him deep in the eyes, "Come to play?"  The Joker grinned and laughed as Jason glared at him.  Jason made the mistake of spitting in the Joker's face making him only angrier.

"Now now!  Don't do that!  That's your mother's job!"  The Joker laughed slapping Jason in the cheek and knocking him down.  Jason landed on the hard concrete floor, but he had a birdarang in his hand now, ready for action.  He looked up as the goons prepared to take him, but he quickly tossed the birdarang up hitting both men in the face and knocking them back. Jason slid forward getting on his feet and taking out an extendable bo-staff.  He looked around as the goons aimed their weapons at him.  He was surrounded.

"Surrender Robin or we'll shoot!"  A goon yelled.

"Go ahead!"  Jason grinned as he looked around.  In his head he thought, "Idiots."

The goons took the bait and fired in their circle at Jason, but he ducked below their range.  Before any could aim at him again, their own bullets hit the opposite side of the circle.  The goons dropped almost instantly, a few stood standing, but Jason quickly dispatched them with his staff.

"Clever kid."  Joker spat at him raising a pistol as the goons were taken care of, "Time to die!"  He laughed walking forward slowly.

"Sorry, but you should really check your watch.  I think it's actually your time."  Jason replied leaping forward with his staff, but Joker fired off a shot.

He missed.

Jason kicked him down and raised his bo-staff, but suddenly another shot went off hitting him in the leg. 

"AGH!"  Jason yelled as he fell down on his knee.  He collapsed as the Joker stood up above him.

"Sorry kid.  I've got friends too."  Joker grinned as Harvey Dent appeared next to him.

"Pathetic."  Dent remarked, "Shall we end him?"

"I think not, I have a few plans for him instead."  Joker grinned looking down at Jason, "Many plans indeed."

Antarctica, 8/28/15, 11:00 PM

The air was blistering cold, as Klarion expected.  He felt nothing though as he moved up to the tip of the landform.  He looked around as the blizzard raged on.  Behind him Teekl, his familiar padded through the snow.  Klarion looked up at the night sky as the sky filled with great colors unimaginable to most.  Klarion grinned as he reached his destination.

"Teekl, come on!  We don't have much time yet!"  Klarion insisted as the familiar in cat form moved up to him.

He searched his head for the incantation he had memorized after repeating it over and over for days.  He looked up at the sky again and raised his hand.  He spoke a separate incantation first, one that revealed the hidden.

The sky suddenly lit up with a bright green color.  The green formed a large plate over the sky like a shield, it was incredible that it actually continued all around the Earth.  Klarion began reciting the incantation, it was a long powerful spell, but Klarion had enough power to use it.  Once he had concluded reciting it, a red energy shot out of his hand shooting into the sky hitting the green shield of energy.  Klarion grinned as the green lit up from the explosion created by his energy.  It began to dissolve slowly, but surely.  

"Perfect."  Klarion grinned as the shield began dissolving quicker.  It continued going for the many miles that it stretched.  Klarion opened a portal behind him.

"And so it begins."  He grinned stepping through.
