Chapter Twenty: Belle Reve

"Meet your new warden!"  The man in charge yelled to the prisoners as they gathered in the mess-hall, "His name is Harvey Dent!"

"Harvey?"  A voice yelled, and soon more and more voices were yelling out in anger against the man.

"Now, now!  Listen!"  Harvey yelled over the crowd, "I have an announcement!"

The crowd died down and soon all were listening intently.

"Very good.  The following prisoners are going to be moved to other penitentiaries around the country.  Let's see... Teth Adam, Black Manta, Cyrus Gold, Anthony Ivo, Count Werner Vertigo, Matthew Hagen, Cameron Mahkent, Marcus Desmond, Eclipso, Baran Flinnders, and Waylon Jones."  The crowd roared as the super-villains were named, something was not right.  All these criminals should never be removed, but of course this was the plan of Harvey Dent and Ra's Al Ghul.

Ra's watched from his spot in Harvey's new office.  The police force within the prison had been paid off to allow all proceedings to go on.  Ra's had full control of Belle Reve.  Strange and Savage had lost it and now the prison was under Ra's control.

The plan was coming into full circle.  Ra's new army was at his command and ready to enact his ultimate plans of destruction.

Central City, 8/28/15, 4:24 PM

Metamorpho looked out from his cage as the guards spoke quietly amid the destruction outside.  The cage was inside an abandoned apartment building that overlooked Central City's main square where the fighting was intense.  Metamorpho had to get out and help, but he was trapped and powerless as the Parasite kept seeping his powers away whenever he got the chance.  Metamorpho had to escape before-

BAM!

The first guard dropped to the floor in a quick instant.  The second barely had time to react as he too was knocked out.  

"Need some help bud?"  It was a child that stood outside of the cage now in a strange yellow suit.

"Huh?"  Metamorpho asked as he squinted at the child, "Who are-?"

"Here, I'll help you out there."  The kid said and suddenly the bars on the cage were gone and Metamorpho was free.

"Thank you."  He said looking around for the kid, but he was no where to be seen, "Boy?"  Metamorpho asked again, but the kid was gone.

"Where did he-?"

"Why hello there."  A voice snarled and Metamorpho looked over to see 

It was a strange sight.  The voice came from a woman, but she looked like a literal cheetah.

"You shouldn't be out as I've heard."  Cheetah snarled, "Get back in your cell freak!"

"I'm the freak?"  Metamorpho roared, "Come at me bitch!"  Metamorpho leaped forward, but Cheetah was quicker.  She slid past Metamorpho and kicked him out of the building he was being held in.  He crashed through the window and landed in the street.  He began to rise up, but he felt a light body land on his back.

"Gotcha!"  Cheetah hissed as she slashed his back, but Metamorpho quickly shifted his body into concrete as he touched the road.  He reached over to his back and pulled Cheetah off tossing her over.  Cheetah snarled running forward with her claws extended. He roared back as he ran forward meeting Cheetah's strike and punching her back.  The woman rolled across the pavement as Metamorpho charged after her smashing down into the road where she lay.  She was fast though and quickly leaped away onto a balcony above.  Metamorpho roared in anger and smashed his fist into the building holding Cheetah.  The structure shook violently, but the woman was already retreating up and away as Metamorpho backed away.
