Chapter Twelve: Mount Justice II

Cassie looked around the corner as she moved up to it with Green Arrow by her side.  She could barely believe her luck with the hero being inside the Cave at the time of the attack.  She looked back at the archer as he trailed behind her with his bow ready.  Now that she thought more on this, something seemed wrong about this, Green Arrow had left the Justice League.  

What if...What if he were apart of the attack?

Cassie kept glancing back as Green Arrow followed her through the halls of the Cave.  They ran into no soldiers on their way, another strange coincidence considering the Cave had recently been crawling with them.

The two kept moving though, Cassie would deal with him later first she had to find her friends.  They rounded another corner when a body was thrown against the wall in front of them.  The body fell to the ground unconscious, and a figure moved up shortly behind.

"Grant?"  Cassie asked sighing in relief, "It's good to see you."

Grant widened his eyes in surprise as he saw Cassie, "Wondergirl! What's going on?"

"Deadshot and a large group of soldiers have infiltrated the Cave.  I don't know who all they've caught, but I think Wildebeast and Terra are still okay."

"Lets hope so."  Green Arrow said stepping out as well.

"Green Arrow?"  Grant tilted his head in confusion, "I thought you left the Justice League?"

"I came back to talk to Red Tornado."  Green Arrow explained, "I just happened in here when this all happened."

Cassie narrowed her eyes, she did not believe him for a second.  She quickly turned on the rogue hero and smashed her fist into his chest without warning.  The archer yelped in pain, but Cassie was too quick for him.  She slammed him against the wall knocking his bow away and holding his hands to the wall as well.

"Tell me the truth!"  She yelled at him in anger, "You're not really here to help are you?"

"Cassie what are you doing?!"  Grant yelled in confusion.

"Ugh!  Barry!"  Green Arrow called out as he kicked Cassie in the chest, but she refused to budge.

She began to move forward, but suddenly Grant was knocked down by an unknown source, the same attack hit Cassie away from Green Arrow.  She hit the floor as another punch slammed into her shoulder.  She reached over grabbing the bow and slamming it through the air towards Green Arrow, but he caught the attack and kicked Cassie in the face knocking her down.

"Stay down!"  Green Arrow yelled as the unknown source revealed itself, it was the Flash.

"Ollie, this...this doesn't feel right."  The Flash said softly, "We shouldn't-"

"Too bad Barry."  Green Arrow snapped back, "We're doing this to get to our real enemies.  The real bad guys, remember?"

"I know it's just...These are just kids."  The Flash shook his head, "Why can't we just go for the Hall?  Why the Cave?"

Cassie gritted her teeth as the two were distracted, she looked up at the ceiling looking for a way to take them both down.  She saw nothing, but a statue standing nearby.  She quickly leaped up grabbing the statue and flinging it at the rogue heroes.  The Flash easily dodged the attack while Green Arrow leaped over the statue.  Grant was up now too, he grabbed Green Arrow's leg and pulled him down while Cassie blocked a punch from the Flash as he ran up to her throwing supersonic speed punches.  She punched forward hitting the Flash's shoulder and knocking him off balance.  That gave her a chance, she punched him again and again in the face till he smashed against the wall.  She kicked forward hitting his legs and knocking him down.
