I woke up to the sound of soft knocking on the bedroom door.
"Alexis"? A voice said.
Michael.
The boy who almost murdered me a couple of hours ago.
"Alexis we need to talk, all six of us. The boys and I need to explain to you why we brought you here", Michael said, still on the other side of the door.
I got up from the bed I was lying on and opened the door. There stood the tall Australian boy, who to say the nicest thing possible, looked horrible.
His eyes were red and puffy, his t-shirt damp from the tears that had fallen on his shirt, he was slouching, and his hair looked like it had been pulled in frustration multiple times.
"Alexis I am so s-" he started, but I cut him off by pulling him into a tight hug.
What surprised me was that he pulled away from my hug with a frightened look on his face, but the look was quickly replaced by a sad smile. "Alexis, I'm sorry, just, please don't. I'll get into trouble".
I was surprised, shocked even. It was just a friendly gesture. Nothing more. Michael must have taken it as the hug was supposed to be romantic I guess.
"C'mon, everyone's waiting". He said walking away and breaking me out of my thoughts.
Once Michael and I were seated in the living room with everyone else, I snuck a quick glance at Becca who was sitting across from me.
She looked sad, not like an upset sad, but am exhausted sad. It was almost as if she knew what the boys wanted to explain to us and she didn't want to hear it again.
But then again, I also know what this was about. Michael's changing.
After a few awkward minutes of just sitting around staring at each other, Calum finally spoke up.
"Um, ok guys, obviously you know that Luke brought you two here for a reason right"? He said, his dark eyes scanning Becca and I.
"Well, the reason is so much bigger then you think it is" he continued.
"Calum, just get on with it" Michael mumbled.
Calum sighed, "there is no better way to tell you girls this so I'm gonna just say it".
"The four of us, w-we aren't human" he said, hanging his head.
Becca and I looked at each other and I saw that she had tears in her eyes.
"We're werewolves" he said, looking up at me. His brown eyes looking as if he was about to crumble.
"Oh cut it out Cal, I'm pretty sure they knew". Michael said, snapping.
I really didn't want to hear anymore arguing between the two so I finally spoke up. "H-how is that even possible"?
Calum looked over to his 3 best friends.
"We're gonna tell them everything guys, they deserve to know. I'm sorry, but what I say goes".Michael opened his mouth but quickly closed it, mumbling a quick "oh fuck off".
"Look, I know this story is going to sound like complete bullshit, but it's all true, you have to believe me when I say that all the stories that your grandparents told you when you were young are very very true" Calum said, looking at Becca and I.
And so Calum started his story...
"I come from a very high class family of werewolves, my mother and father are known for their hunting abilities and such, so in a way, I was supposed to be made into a supreme hunter, just like my parents and older sister. But I didn't like that, you see, most werewolves hunt humans for sport. My family included".
