•Calum•
I shook my head rapidly. "What? She can't be gone Becca."
The blonde girl sighed. "Calum, she just took off, she said goodbye to me then ran."
"Why didn't you tell me?!" I shouted at her.
"She doesn't want to be here Calum! Don't you see that?" She countered.
"Becca, do you know what could be out there in the forest? Sky found us, other wolves could too. Alexis is out there alone and defenceless. She won't be able to find her way back into town. Especially not back to her house. We're in freaking Canada for gods sake." I said, starting to pace around the front pace.
"You love her. Don't you Cal?" Becca whispered.
"Yeah. Yeah I do."
"Then go find her. Convince her that staying with you guys is the best option. If she's smart, which I know she is. She'll stay." Becca said, standing up.
"But Becca, what if she doesn't listen?" I said, running my fingers through my messy hair.
"Confess Cal. You can't hide your feelings forever." She said walking back into the cabin.
I looked towards the dark forest. Was she crazy? Who would be that insane to go into a dark forest with I don't even know what could be in there and go in without anybody to protect her?
"Oh and Calum"?
I turned around to see Becca in the doorway. "She likes you a lot."
"No she doesn't. I'm almost positive she's fallen for Luke." I said, thinking back to all the times the pair had been laughing, smiling and hugging.
It made my heart clench.
"Are you blind?" Becca asked, completely serious.
I raised my eyebrow at her and shrugged my shoulders. "Don't you think she would've told me?"
Becca chuckled. "Hood, don't take this personally, but you are such an idiot. You are supposed to confess to her. I'm here best friend for gods sake. I know what she would want and I can tell you right now. All she wants right now is for you to tell her what you just told me."
I was shocked. Does Alexis like me? Becca just kind of confirmed it but you never know.
I shook my head and started to change form, ripping off my shirt in the process.
I was not letting Alexis slip through my fingers. She needs to know how I feel about her.
I looked up at Becca who was started to head back into the cabin for good now. But I heard her call over her shoulder. "Go get her wolf boy!"
And with that, I was now in my full wolf form, running towards the dark forest I search for Alexis.
I quickly caught her scent. She smelled like apples and cinnamon. I loved that smell so much it hurt.
Focus Calum. I heard in my head.
I stopped running.
Luke? What the hell man, how are you doing this? I'm not near you! I spoke back in my head.
It's called practice Calum. Now go find her. She could be hurt. Luke said.
He sounded pretty worried. It's probably because he loves her just as much as I do.
That thought just made me want to find Alexis even more. Who's trying to find her? Me. Not Luke. Me.
Who was there for her when she had that breakdown? Me.
Who's idea was it to bring her here because we needed to protect her? Me.
"Calum?!" I heard someone yell.
I then turned to the voice and sure enough, there she was. Alexis was standing there with her sweater wrapped tightly around her.
"Calum, I need to go home." She said, tears welling up in her eyes.
I shook my head. I couldn't speak since I was still in wolf form. But I quickly started to change back into my human self.
Once I was back to normal, I opened my mouth to start confessing to Alexis but was cut off by her staring at me awkwardly.
"What? What's wrong?" I asked, worry clear in my voice.
"Calum. You're naked again." She said, blushing profusely.
She threw her sweater at me and I wrapped it around my lower half. My upper body still exposed. I noticed that the sweater I was "wearing" was quite large.
"Hey! This is my sweater!" I said laughing slightly.
Alexis sighed, "I wanted something to remember you by. Once I left, I planned on moving away. Like far away. I wanted to plan a whole new life for myself and my father."
I was confused. "Why? Why would you want to leave everyone and everything behind?" I asked, my voice cracking at the end.
By everyone, I really meant me. She was going to leave me and forget about me completely. My heart suddenly broke.
"Calum I don't want to be on the run anymore. That's yours and the boys life, not mine. Becca may be staying but I'm not. I'm sorry. There isn't a real reason for me to stay anyways." She said, her brown eyes looking into mine.
That's it. I'm doing it.
That's when I kissed her. I just walked up to her and kissed her. Passionately may I add.
It was like one of those cliché movies. It felt like the whole world had stopped spinning. It was incredible.
I pulled back and she looked up at me with wide eyes. I smiled at her. "Lex, the reason I brought you along here wasn't just because you were in danger of the hunters and my family. It's because I imprinted on you."
She smiled and I saw that she had tears in her eyes. "Calum I love y-
But she was cut off when a large arrow was shot into her left shoulder and she collapsed onto the hard ground.
