"No, no Alexis please." I sobbed as I held the fragile girl in my arms. She was struggling to keep her eyes open. They were fluttering open and closed and I couldn't help but panic even more.

"Keep your eyes open Lex, do not close them. Don't leave me." I quickly kissed her forehead and looked into the forest around me. "Show yourself." I screamed.

I heard a voice laugh and I whipped my head towards the voice and sure enough, there stood a hunter. Myles to be exact.

I remember Myles from when I was younger. I was around 14 years old when I had my first encounter with him and his brother Nathan.

I surprisingly killed Nathan. I didn't want to trust me, but I had to. My life was on the line. Unfortunately Myles escaped and I guess he's been hunting me and my pack ever since.

"Damn." He said with a sneer. "That was the first time I've ever missed."

A wave of quilt washed over me. This was the reason why Alexis wanted to leave. She didn't want to be in danger constantly and now look at her, she has a large silver arrow sticking out of her shoulder.

I stifled back another sob. I could feel myself changing form once again. I was going to rip this guy's head off, whether he had a dozen or so arrows notched right at me. He hurt Alexis, and he was going to pay.

I felt my fangs coming in, ripping through my gums and piercing my lip slightly. I felt my claws come out and my back hunch forward causing me to be on all fours. I saw that my black fur had come out also.

When I looked up at Myles, I saw that he had a smug look on his stupid little face. "Now, now little werewolf. No need for violence."

I let out a loud growl and leap towards him, but he easily dodged it and slammed a fist into my ribcage.

Now let me tell you this, if any other human attempted to punch me the way Myles just did, they wouldn't broken their wrist and a couple of fingers. But the hunters are special. They're half werewolf. And if they are human, like Myles, they are put into extreme training.

I was thrown sideways after the blow and I saw out of the corner of my eye that Myles was slowly making his way towards Alexis.

He drew a small silver dagger out of his pocket and right then I knew what he was about to do.

I tried to get up but was struck my a stabbing pain in my side, the bastard broke some of my ribs with his stupid punch! God, I'm supposed to be an Alpha! I'm not supposed to be weak!

Just then, out of absolutely no where, I saw a flash of gold-ish fur leap onto Myles' back. Luke.

As I saw the others come into view. I mentally smiled. Becca was riding onto of Ashton's back and as soon as she saw Alexis lying unconscious on the hard ground. She tumbled off and ran towards her bestfriend.

Ashton ran to Luke who was trying to corner Myles. They had him pinned against a large tree and I knew what they were going to do next.

I looked away once I heard a loud scream. "Atta boy Luke." I spoke in my head.

He didn't answer but I saw him look towards me, he bowed his head towards me and I whimpered slightly, realizing that my wound was pretty bad.

Then Michael and the new girl, Sky, were running up to me, now in human version, they kneeled down next to my large body and carefully touched my rib.

I growled in response. "Calum, you're going to need to change back buddy, it's gonna hurt like hell, but you're gonna need to trust me." Michael spoke calmly, but I could tell by his eyes that he was scared.

Sky draped a blanket over me which I hadn't noticed that she brought with her. Mental note: thank her later for not letting everyone see me naked.

As I started changing forms, I roared in pain, I was breaking bones that were already broken. That was definitely not good. My howls then turned to screams and I heard Michael trying to calm me down.

"Cal, calm down. It's going to be okay. You'll be okay."

Finally it was over and I was back into my human form. I was panting and I was a sweaty mess. God my rib hurts like hell.

But then my mind focused back onto Alexis and my eyes shot wide open. "Alexis!" I screamed. "Alexis!!!"

Her body was not too far from me so I slowly started to crawl towards her. Despite Michaels protests and my own body's protests. I still kept crawling towards the dying girl I loved.

"Calum your too late. She's gone." Becca cried once I reached them. Becca was holding Alexis' head in her lap and was stroking her hair.

No. No no no no. She can't be gone. I won't let her. "Becca get out of my way." I said calmly.

"Calum what are yo-"

"I said get out of my way!" I sobbed.
Becca then placed Alexis' head back onto the ground and stepped back.

I knew what I had to do.

I turned towards the boys who were now together, slowly making their way over.

"Don't Calum. Don't do it." Ashton said, speeding up a little.

I turned around then, looking at Alexis. My Alexis.

"Calum Hood! Don't do it!" I heard Michael yell.

But it was too late, because by the time the boys and Sky reached me. My fangs were already deep into Alexis' neck.

I'm changing her.
