Twenty Five

I woke up with my head resting in Luke's lap. He must have moved us into this position last night after I fell asleep. I poked his cheek and he stirred slightly. "Wake up." I whispered.

"No. Five more minutes Lex." He grumbled.

I frowned. "Luke Robert Hemmings get up now or I'm going to have to tickle you."

That got him up. His eyes shot open and he looked down at me with wide eyes. "You wouldn't." He glared.

"Oh but I would." I said with a laugh, as I started poking and gliding my fingers across his ribs and stomach, causing him to squirm and hold back his giggles.

This turned into a huge tickle fight, which Luke won. He sat on my stomach and wouldn't stop tickling my neck and sides until I said mercy. I lasted a good 3 minutes before I had to yell the word at the top of my lungs.

"Will you two shut the hell up out there!" We heard Michael yell from his bedroom. "Some of us don't like waking up at 8am!"

Luke and I rolled our eyes and got up from the floor and brushed ourselves off. "So, how are you feeling today?" He asked as he fixed his hair in the living room mirror.

I shrugged. "I'm a little stiff, my headache and back pain are gone though. It's just my shoulder."

He nodded and walked back over to where I was standing. "Can we go for a walk? I have a lot of explaining to do." He said, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.

He sure did. I wanted to know everything. No more secrets between the two of us. Plus I wanted to know what was happening with him and the pack. I still need to figure out what's different about him. I feel like it's so obvious but I still can't figure it out. 

"Yeah sure." I said, and he slung an arm around my shoulder. I tensed up a bit before relaxing. he knows how I feel about him. This is just a friendly gesture.

He shot me one of his dazzling smiles. "Great. Let's go."

We walked out of the cabin without telling anyone where we were going. If Calum finds out about this, I don't think he'll be very happy, but nonetheless he needs to realize that I am connected to Luke whether he likes it or not. I chose him for gods sake, not Luke. That should be enough to show that I do truly want to be with him because if I didn't, then i would be dating Luke.

Luke lead me to this open area in the woods. It was by a small pond and it was surrounded by tall oak trees. it was really pretty. We sat down on a large rock and listened to the peaceful silence. That is until Luke coughed loudly, which caused me to look at him. "Okay, so before I start talking about this whole thing, I just want you to listen. Don't say anything, it is going to be so hard for me to actually tell you all these things because you chose Cal over me. But I'm going to have to try to forget it and move on. It is impossible yes, but I like trying to defy the odds." He said with a small smile.

I nodded my head, signalling him to start talking again. I was probably just as nervous as he was. 

Luke took a deep, shaky breath. "I imprinted on you first Alexis, I was the first to see you that day in Biology, but stupidly decided not to tell the boys because I was afraid that they would make fun of me. I'm the youngest. I was supposed to imprint after everyone else, so I just didn't tell anyone. But then Calum told the group that he really really liked you, but he didn't know if he actually imprinted so he didn't tell you right away. This made me think that I actually had a chance to compete against Calum to win you over because I liked you so much." He looked away and ran his fingers through his blonde hair. This was hard for him and I could tell, so I placed my head on his shoulder.

He chuckled. "Then i started noticing how you looked at Calum and i realized that you liked him, a lot. You thought of me as a friend and that absolutely crushed me. But I didn't stop trying. I made it my mission to get you to fall for me Lex, but you loved Calum. You even told me." He turned his head up to the sky above us and sighed.

"I had to tell you sooner or later, but he got to you first. Then he turned you. I always thought I would be the one to get to do the honors of doing that." He chuckled lightly and so did I. "But no, so that night when i kissed you, I immediately knew that I screwed up. You were Calum's. As weird as it sounds, you are. I knew that i was going to be kicked out of the pack because theres a rule, which you know about I guess and I broke it."

I couldn't take it anymore so I spoke up. "Luke, are you completely sure that you imprinted on me?''

I felt him shrug his shoulders. "I think so. Why?" He asked me.

"Because if you didn't, then you really shouldn't have been kicked out of the pack. I mean, aren't you supposed to be going rogue or something?" I asked sitting up.

"Alexis, look at me." He said.

When i looked at him, i gasped. His eyes were black. Not his full eye, but his irises were a dark charcoal colour. I shook my head. "No Luke. You can't go rogue."

He blinked a few times and his eyes changed back into their original blue colour. "I can't help it Lex, thats what happens when a wolf isn't apart of a pack. It's going to happen to me eventually." He said looking at me with a frown on his face.

Why was I in this situation? This is all my fault. If I hadn't of fallen for Calum none of this would have happened and the boys life would have been perfectly fine without me. "I'm so sorry Luke." I croaked out.

"Alexis no, this isn't your fault." He said softly, pulling me into his arms. "Things are going to turn around eventually. Hopefully it'll be for the better. I promise you that you can't get rid of me this easily." He said with  smile on his face.

I sighed and mumbled an okay. Luke stood up and announced that we should head back because everyone else would be waking up soon. As we were walking, I remembered that I still didn't know what Calum and Luke talked about yesterday. 

"Luke?''

"Yeah?''

''What were you and Calum talking about yesterday in private?" I asked as we were walking up the front steps of the cabin.

He turned to me with one of his stupid smirks plastered on his face. "Like i said before Lex, you can't get rid of me that easily."
