" I don't know mate, she's beautiful, funny, caring, but totally badass at the same time, and she doesn't even seem fazed by what we are..." I heard a voice say.

Calum.

"You've imprinted on her Calum..." Another voice said.

I thought I was dreaming, but no. Calum and Luke were standing in front of me looking at me with wide eyes.

"Fuck, I uh-" Calum started, but stopped quickly and turned invisible once again, probably to get away from yet another awkward situation between the two of us.

I hung my head and started playing with my fingernails.

"Alexis? Just pretend you didn't hear any of that okay?" Luke sighed, looking at me with those ocean blue eyes.

"Yeah, no problem." I mumbled.

"I'm sorry" he said telepathically before walking away, back to where Ashton and Michael sat.

I sighed and pulled out my phone to check the time, it was 10:00am. Didn't Michael say that Ashton's cousin was gonna pick us up? I really hoped we would leave soon because I was in desperate need of a burger and fries. I was starving.

As if on cue, Ashton stood up, brushed himself off and called out to everyone saying that we needed to head into town to meet Elliot.

"Ash we can't". I said. "I don't know where Calum went off to".

"Right here." Calum mumbled, suddenly appearing beside me as he leaned on a tree.

"It's nice to know you care about me babe." Calum smirked.

I rolled my eyes, "Don't call me that, I don't like it, I'm not your babe."

He just shrugged in response, turning away from me and looking back to Ashton who was talking about what was gonna happen.

"You like him, don't you?" Luke said

"No, not at all" I thought.

"Bullshit"

"Fuck off"

I looked over to see Luke with a smirk on his lips, laughing at me.

I walked over to him quickly, "What makes you think I like him"? I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.

"By the way you two look at each other."

I looked up at the tall blonde boy and raised my eyebrow.

"Oh come on Lex, I saw him almost kiss you last night, I don't really know why you pulled away, but by the way you acted all night, I would say you like him, a lot". He finished, smiling at me.

I couldn't help but blush, I really shouldn't be talking to Luke about this, I should be telling Becca about my crush on Calum. Luke is just a direct pipeline to him, he could go and tell Calum straight away.

"So you do like him"! Luke exclaimed.

"What? I didn't even say anything Luke"! I shrieked.

"You thought it! I read your mind!" He said, smiling proudly.

"I-I uh well, it's just-

"I won't tell him Alexis" He said laughing. "You're secrets safe with me."

"Thanks Luke, nothing's going to happen between us though, 1. He's a freaking werewolf, a very powerful one who is also an Alpha, 2. Our lives are on the line, I don't think we would have time to focus on anything but hiding. And 3. He doesn't like me anyways." I finished, whispering the last part.

I looked over at Calum who was glaring at Luke and I. I raised an eyebrow at him once our eyes met but he only turned his head back to the ground.

I don't like this side of Calum, the side of him that doesn't give a shit about anything. The side that thinks that he needs to block everyone out and has to be rude all the time.

I started to walk over to the dark haired boy, ready to confront him about all this, but was stopped by Ashton announcing that we were heading out.

"How far do we need to walk?" I asked Ashton.

"We aren't walking, you and Becca are going to ride again." He replied.

Becca looked at me and nodded, signalling that she was ready to go.

"You can ride with Luke." Calum spat, as he walked past me.

"Calum I-

"Save it Alexis, I saw you two laughing, and flirting." He said with sad eyes.

I could feel tears welling up in my eyes.
No. Alexis. No more crying.

I only huffed in response and pushed past Calum.

I explained to Luke what happened with Calum and he agreed to me riding on his back into town. But he seemed scared. Hesitant actually.

I shrugged it off and walked away so the boys could change form.

Once the boys were in werewolf form, I couldn't help but look at the dark Alpha. Calum's eyes were usually dark brown, the ones he had when he was in human form, but now his eyes were a dark red.

He was pissed.

I quickly walked over to Luke and gave him a small smile, "Don't be scared of him, he won't hurt you. Not even when he's mad. Just give him time."

I nodded my head and climbed onto his back, stroking his golden fur, I sighed then looked at Becca who was on top of Ashton's back and had the boys clothes gathered in a ball in front of her.

She gave me a puzzled look, probably wondering why I was on Luke's back and not Calum's.

"I'll explain later." I mouthed to her.

She nodded in response and looked at all the boys.

Calum quickly ran off ahead of everyone signalling we were leaving. Michael ran after, then Ashton, leaving Luke and I at the back.

He gave a loud growl and ran off with the others, following them into the deeper part of the forest.

The ride into town only took about 30 minutes. The boys ran pretty fast. As fast as cars go when they're speeding down a highway.

Once the boys were dressed and we all stepped out of the forest together, I saw Calum turn to Luke and completely shove him to the ground.
