Haiden noticed the small instagram notification pop up... she was curious what it could be, but within the span of two hours she's managed to grab the attention and following of the band she's idolised for years.
It all feels too surreal, she's heard people talk about imposter syndrome before and assumed it was all a bunch of bullshit so they didn't seem too big headed and egotistical... but maybe that wasn't the case. It's not like Haiden isn't popular, she is, and she knows it. The sold out shows are evidently enough, but it doesn't feel real, nor right. She hadn't even realised she'd zoned out until she Spencer returned to the bar for a second round before she'd even touched her first drink.
"so how does it feel? Finally releasing music again?" Navaeh asked, taking a sip of the glittered pink concoction she'd ordered. nothing new.
"hard to explain i guess... it's not like i've never released music and don't know what i'm doing, but i did also disappear for five months and completely change my style of music. who knows if anyone will like it" she shrugged, trying to brush off the consistent negative nancies in her mind. She was only twenty-two, and after working her way up the musical ladder from nothing, haiden can always say shes done well for herself
"it's nice to be writing more, maybe this year will bring some inspiration" she smiled, messing with the lipstick stain on her glass"Haiden! please tell me you've looked at your phone in the last five minutes" she could've heard spencer's voice a mile away. Well if no one knew she was here beforehand, they definitely do now.
"No? you know my drink order by now Spence, double vodka and coke always. i don't understand why you continue to ask" Haiden laughed and finished up her current drink. She began to stand from their current table, rummaging through her back for her packet of cigarettes.
"Before you go anywhere, im begging you to check your instagram" Spencer squealed, very unlike her, as she passed Haiden a lighter from her pocket.
Haiden did so, the screen lighting up and the familiar wallpaper illuminating of the four girls at ola's 21st. and that's when she saw it.

- @haidenmoore: could've just asked for guest list losers, you'll get trampled xThe three girls looked at Haiden with wide eyes, standing on the chairs and Spencer even going as far as to stand on the table, which earned a well deserved stare down from the bar staff. Haiden couldn't take her eyes away from her phone... why would she say losers? surely that seems impolite, what could be worse than coming across as a prick?
oh that's right, Inhaler attending your first gig after 8 months.
"Well i needed a smoke before that but jesus christ, i may need two and a couple of shots at this rate mate" she sighed, taking the cigarette between her lips and heading out the front of the pub followed by Ola. It was raining ever so lightly, something seemed superficial about the night. The overhead lights barely working, she was lucky if she could see her hand in front of her face.
The raindrops hit her skin like small pinches, a couple more punches and this could all be a fever dream she'd wake from. Haiden offered a cigarette to Ola, lightening them both between the two"I'm sorry Denny"
Haiden raised her brow and looked over at her sister, letting the puff of smoke out in the opposite direction
"Sorry? as far as i know you've done nothing wrong duck" she smiled at Ola
"no i just mean... i know it was hard for you coming back, and you haven't checked your phone once since announcing your single. and now your first show is three days away and Inhaler are going to be there!" she sighed, cuffing out her cigarette under her heal and wrapped her jacket around herself as the cold got to her skin
"and i don't know them personally. I can only perform as well as i used too, if they enjoy it then they enjoy it, if they don't then it is what it is" she hummed, placing a sheepish kiss on her sisters forehead before ushering her sister back inside into the warmth
Haiden spent a few more moments outside, her cigarette burning out from between her fingers, allowing her to think through her choices. It brought a small smile to her face knowing her single could be a success and that her album is going to be released within the next week, not that anyone knew. checking her phone again, she squinted at the bright numbers of the digital clock
2:25am
Sighing, she sent a quick and small message to the group to let them know she was heading home thankful she left her keys in her pocket. Navaeh would bring her bag home and there was nothing important inside anyway. Lighting another cigarette and placing it between her lips, letting out a puff of smoke, she made her way back to the apartment she'd grown to know all too well.@haidenmoore posted!
