"but he's just so hot! have you seen him? the way he stands there so arrogant all the damn time, and how he holds that guitar... he's just so yummy" haiden groaned, throwing herself back against the pillows, her hands covering her face.

spencer laughed at the end of the bed... she came to check on her friend given the little fiasco she witnessed between haiden and elijah earlier but sure enough, she wasn't expecting this

"so you said gracie's his ex?"

"well i assume so... he didn't really introduce us, just told her i was his friend. then he came to the pool like nothing had happened and then ali came and dropped the news pretty much. i had to act like i already knew!"

"well that's one way to spice up your love life" spencer snickered, shaking her head

"or my lack of"

"come on! just come back outside... there's food, banana bread and elijah has been sat around like a sad puppy waiting for you"

"there's banana bread?"

spencer sighed, helping pull the small girl up off the bed as she nodded "yes there's banana bread"

haiden sat on one of the lounge chairs, cigarette in hand, completely zoned out while the group all spoke amongst themselves.
since she'd finally re-emerged from the house, elijah had been trying to talk to her like nothing had happened... and evidently he still couldn't understand what the problem was.

ryan nudged her shoulder, clinking his beer can against her own. she took a drag and turned to face him, raising her eyebrow at him while he nodded towards the curly haired twat sat across from her at the table.

"you're so stubborn you know"

"now, now mcmahon. what's that supposed to mean?" she laughed softly

"just go and talk to him. he messed up sure, but i can't watch him look so love sick while you ignore him" he laughed

"i just needed him to wallow for a bit" she smiled and shrugged, nudging eli's foot under the table to catch his attention.
his point of view moved straight to her, his attention not taken by anything else. haiden nudged her head in the direction of the empty grass, mouthing to him if he wanted to talk. he cleared his throat and made his way to the empty space, haiden following close behind.

"i've missed you" he frowned, looking down at her as he brushed her hair out of her face

"why'd you say it elijah"

"don't call me elijah..."

"why'd you say it"

"say what?"

"you told her i was your friend! you told your ex girlfriend that i was just the bands friend the day after we slept together!" she scoffed

"i didn't mean too! haiden, you know you're everything to me" he frowned

"do i? because if i meant that much, you wouldn't have lied and avoided me for almost the entire day elijah"
