haiden grabbed her phone and dialled ryan's contact, waiting as the phone rang out. eventually he picked up, a ruckus of noise hitting her ear from the other line
"i just wanted to say congratulations! i cant believe you guys are releasing your second album... i'm looking forward to hearing it" she smiled, opening up the door to sit out on their balcony
"oi, ryan, who's on the phone" she heard bobby yell, rolling her eyes as she shook her head "it's haiden you knob" "our haiden?" she heard elijah ask
"thanks haiden, it's been a work in progress. i think we're running through a few songs in a little while if you want to come by? i'll let you know the address"
"i would love too!! is it a single invitation or are the girls invited too?" she asked, smiling over her shoulder as navaeh finally emerged from her bedroom
"of course they're invited!" he laughed, before the boys said their goodbyes and ryan hung up the phone
"who was that" navaeh asked, poking her head out the balcony door, offering haiden a coffee
"it was just ryan, they're running through a few songs later from the new album and invited us to go and watch" she smiled, getting up from her spot as she headed towards her room "i'm just going to change though"
"change for lover boy eh?"
"shut up" she laughed "it's too short of a dress"
"the boy drools over you any time he sees you, no matter what you're in. maybe someday you'll be out of it all" navaeh laughed and winked, a blush rising to haidens cheek as she shuffled to her room to change
she quickly sent a message to the girls group letting them know the invitation was open, and the address the boys had provided. slipping on her pair of shoes, she grabbed her keys, sunglasses upon her head and left their apartment Haiden thought she'd treat the boys to a muffin from her favourite cafe, as a little congratulations. she was unsure of what they all liked, so she just asked for a selection... specifically asking for a lemon muffin for elijah.
she thanked the barista, paid for her order and took the brown paper bag in her hand before leaving the cafe, she made her way down to the address ryan had given before ringing the bell. Elijah answered the door, smiling immediately as he pulled her in for a hug "i've missed you"
she laughed and hugged him back, mumbling "you saw me yesterday eli"
he rolled his eyes at her as he kissed her forehead, blushing herself at the sentiment before he invited her inside and led her to where the other lads were. the boys cheered at the sight of the small, tattooed girl as they brought her in for a group hug.
"i brought muffins for everyone! just as a little congratulations from me to you guys" she smiled, placing the bag down on the nearest table. she turned to elijah and mumbled "i got the lemon one for you, just because you liked it so much last time"
eli smiled, shaking his head playfully as he grabbed the muffin from the bag "you're so cute, thank you" she smiled to herself, tucking her hair back over her shoulder "can i be really cheeky and ask you guys to play one of my favourites? i doubt you'll play it live again" she laughed breathlessly
she felt almost rude asking, this was their free time that they'd had the decency to invite haiden and her friends too witness... but deep down she knew elijah would do anything she asked, even if it meant he had to drop to his knees; he'd do it in a heartbeat, for her always.
"go for it" josh smiled
"i'd really love to hear in my sleep... there's plenty of others that could compete but i love in my sleep enough to have it permanently tattooed on my body" she laughed
"you got it tattooed?" elijah asked, his mouth full of muffin as he stood dumbfounded
"yeah? just above my boob, i thought you knew?"
he cleared his throat as he ruffled his hair "how would i know that?"
haiden smirked to herself, watching as he got flustered realising he'd been caught every time he'd gotten a peak at the girls chest; his friends couldn't help but snicker amongst themselves
"i knew there was a reason we liked you, h" bobby laughed, plucking a few chords of his base as ryan tapped his drumsticks together Elijah rolled his eyes, sticking the finger up to his band mates as he laughed
the boys played in my sleep just as haiden had requested, a long with slide out the window and majority of the songs from their new album. Haiden couldn't believe their talent, they were incredible in everything that they did... they were her idols, and the sole reason she pursued her own career in music; now she sat, alone, with them as they let her into what their unreleased album sounds like.
a dream come true.
