music was heard down to the gates, haiden making her way up to the front door as she gave it a hard knock, a cigarette in her opposing hand. ryan answered the door, beer in hand, while he pulled her in for a tight hug "surprised to see you here"

"what? why?" she asked, raising her eyebrow while taking a drag

"eli said you weren't feeling up to it"

oh. oh...

"really?"

"yeah, something about how you were feeling under the weather" he shrugged, ushering for her to come inside. the young girl put out her cigarette before stepping into the house, closing the door behind them "anyway, follow me"

she tucked her hair behind her ear ever so slightly, feeling more uncomfortable than she ever had been. she followed ryan out into the garden of the hewsons, their kitchen and halls filled with people she'd never met before.
she spotted spencer and bobby, yet again trying to out drink each other while josh cheered them along.
and then she caught sight of elijah, stood next to a young brunette she'd never met before.

"haiden! oh it's so good to see you" she smiled and turned her head, catching sight of eve. before she knew it, she was pulled into a hug

"it's good to see you too!"

"eli's just over there with gracie! i'm just going to grab a drink, i can bring you out one too?" eve questioned, smiling at the young girl

"i'd like that thank you, anything will do"

haiden smiled and watched as eve strove off back inside the house before making her way over to elijah. she rest her hand on his lower back, a smile painting itself on his face before he caught sight of her, clearing his throat

"hey you" she smiled up at him

he sipped his beer as he smiled ever so slightly, nodding his head "hey"

haiden couldn't help but shake the feeling. she wasn't sure what the feeling was but it certainly wasn't good. a couple of hours ago, they were both rolling around her bed naked with not a sound but their laughter and now he was acting like he didn't want to know her.

"elijah! who's this? i'm sorry, i don't think we've met before... i'm gracie" the brunette smiled, holding her hand out for haiden to shake

"it's lovely to meet you, i'm eli's-"

"friend" he cut her off, smiling down at gracie as he pulled his sunglasses over his eyes "she's our friend, musician and all you know?"

haiden scoffed under her breath, shaking her head as she left the little group they had formed. turning her back on the curly haired lad, she noticed bobby laying in the grass with his girlfriend giving him the middle finger. looks like she won yet again, just like the first night they met. she made her way over to them, a small smile on her face at the sight before her.

"not with lover boy?" spencer laughed, noticing the small stroll of her best friend

"sorry, who's lover boy? i'm not aware?"

the boys looked between themselves before looking back at haiden, all of their eyebrows raised as ryan pulled his beer back from his mouth

"don't tell me you guys broke up already?"

"oh so you guys are aware we're together?"

"yes?" bobby questioned "is that a trick question"

"who's gracie?"
