a knock echoed its way through the hewson house, awakening eve from her slumber. she checked her clock, the time reading at almost four in the morning. she sighed to herself as she wrapped a dressing gown around herself for warmth, sliding her feet into some slippers before heading down into the hall she sighed to herself as she made her way to the front door, the knocking still ringing through the family home
"i swear to god, elijah if this is you" she groaned as she opened the door...
prepared to confront her brother, eve was met with a pair of brown eyes below her. the small, tattooed girl stood on the steps, holding her jacket around herself as she shivered... tears rolling down her cheeks as blood fell from her nose
"did i wake you? i'm really sorry... i messed up with eli and i didn't know where else to go" she sniffled
"jesus christ haiden, what happened" eve gasped as she pulled the young girl inside. haiden stood shivering, soaked through from hours of walking "where's elijah?"
"i don't know... we had a thing at the pub and he went out for a cigarette so i left without telling him so i think he's still there" she sniffled, looking up at eve "i'm sorry, it's so late i should go"
eve shook her head, pressing a tissue to haidens nose and letting haiden hold it "you're not going anywhere... i'll go run you a warm bath, get you some clean clothes and you take care of that nose okay?" she smiled softly, brushing the poor girls soaking hair behind her shoulder

eve helped haiden up into the bathroom, leaving haiden to change. she stayed outside the door as haiden got into the bath, wiping the dirt off her body and resting in the soapy warmth. she pulled her legs to her chest, hearing the front door open and shut again. she leaned her head back as she wiped the tears off her cheeks, the bathroom door opening.
she looked over, sighing to herself as elijah walked in. she covered her self up as much as she could.
"baby..." he sighed, kneeling at the side of her bath as he ran his hand through her hair
