Harry

"Come again?" Ginny crossed her legs, sitting on the chair in my home office across from my table. I sipped at the fresh cup of coffee she sat for me.

"I need to put the man in Azkaban once and for all." I mumbled, reading Rodolphus Lestrange's file.

"Harry, that man has been missing for ten years. Wherever will you find him?" She sighed.

"I've found his recent movements. After five years, this bastard moves again." I chuckled and her eyes widened in a happy surprise.

"Where?" She hopped off the chair and ran around, bending over me, eyeing the files.

"Aren't we excited?" I teased and she giggled.

"That bastard has the worst on us for years. I'd like nothing more than setting him in a nice dark corner." She pressed a cheek to my temple and I laughed. I had the best wife in the world, though the strangest.

"Well, I spotted him...." I started but the lights flickered in my office. The fire in my chimney burped a flame and Ginny whimpered.

"Breached...?" She mumbled.

"Get the kids in the nursery, Ginny. Go, now! I'll meet you there."

"Harry..."

"Ginny!" I hissed and she gasped. Picking up the skirt of her robe, she ran out of the room. My heart was pounding and body breaking sweats. I had no idea what was going on but the alert was only made if threat was real. The shield was created the way it'd been in the old days. It was created to attack anyone who fought through it. Burning up the initial files as per protocol, I jogged out, only to see a few familiar dark heads and a purple headed scrawny, female figure.

"Find them!" The girl yelled.

But how? How'd they get in? How'd they breach my barrier of all things?

The answer was this girl. Could it be Sapphire? The girl I suspected to be Bellatrix's second child? It made sense a bit as to how they entered. This was the estate of the black family and the Lestrange's were just a branch of it all. The initial breach, main defense of this house. I'd never thought of it. I felt like a moron for being so blind to this. Many questions came, like why now? Why so long after ten years of disappearance did a Lestrange attack now? Trembling with worry, I jogged towards the room where I'd instructed Ginny to take the kids.

My kids are at home. My kids.... my kids... the mere word 'kid' suddenly flashed me to the thoughts of where I would find myself assuming how my parents must've felt. Had they cried the same thought in their minds?

My son is home? I have to protect my son? Is that what they thought? Is this how they felt? I finally reached the room and found Ginny standing in the middle of it as if retratcing from a position.

"Ginny!" I pulled her close, "Hide. Please." She held my collar and shook her head.

"No." She fought.

"Ginny, I can hold them off, but I can't do it with you here!" I begged.

"Tough shit! I am not leaving you alone!"

"Ginny, the kids..."

"They're safe." She mumbled.

More clattering sounded outside, they were nearing. I placed a barrier to the door to delay their entrance, though it was hopeless due to Saphire's existence.
