Lily

"Mum, you want to know something?" I leaned up on the table after the conversation followed the dense emotions in the room. The trust-building between my family was still dwindling between the red and the green but somehow, we had started on the path to carrying the journey to its end, whatever it was going to be.

"Yeah."

"None of us are werewolves." I suggested it as something to lighten the mood and somehow, even right now, it wasn't a big deal to Dad. He simply smiled lightly while Mum lit up.

"Really? Oh, thank Merlin." She cupped her cheeks, laughing.

"Come on." Dad made James sit, "Eat. We'll figure this out. Alright?" He assured and we turned to the delicious food.

Dinner time went normal but then everyone went silent.

"James, you mentioned that Saphire was a discarded daughter?"

"Yeah."

"Why?" Dad inquired.

"No idea." This, we didnt know.

"Why have you come now?" Mum asked, "I mean this time."

"We couldn't find an appropriate time to find her. Believe me, if you hadnt come to Hogwarts, we may have shown here, ourselves at some point. The only reason we were at Hogwarts was because we time travelled in hogwarts in our time." James rubbed his temple, tired.

"Why don't you lot take some rest?" Dad offered.

"No, we've got work-"

"No, not tonight. From what I gather, you don't have much to go back to your time until this is fixed."

"Dad, we've been here a few days now."

"And the time turner takes you back to hour you set it for." Mum chimed in, "Harry's right. I'll fix up James' and Teddy's room for the two of you and Lily, do you want a separate room?" She asked sweetly.

"No. I'd rather be on the same floor as you all."

"Lily, I'll be working in my office on the first floor, you can have your room up there."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Erm, Mum?"

"Yeah." Ginny turned to Albus, "Is it alright, if James and I can get a different room? Together is fine, just... not that room."

They seemed quiet at the request at first.

"Sure. Come on now." Mum stood and we followed her out. Only, it was Albus who stopped and looked back at Dad.

"I meant what I said yesterday you know. I never hated you, I just wanted you to understand me like I tried you." He gulped. Mum smiled as Dad made Albus follow us.

James

"Erm, can you guys head on without me? I want to discuss something with him." I rubbed my neck and mum nodded, letting me leave.

As expected, dad was rocking in one place, trying to piece everything together and clearly finding clues to this being a ruse. I called for him.

"Yeah?" He finally looked at me.

"You don't trust us, do you?" I sighed, resting against the wall. Exhaustion was overwhelming me. His look of analysis, the raking eyes, the questions clearly turning wheels in his head seemed to be clear at this. I wasn't overwhelmed, for I knew my father could even suspect my mum of something. Not because he didn't love her, but because, the world of magic could be as deceitful as perfect.
