I almost didn't expect them to show but one by one, both did with Mum being first. As the two approached us, we braced ourselves. Revealing the truth could have so many side effects. Including us disappearing from existence. Actually, most likely myself.
James was already born, so was Teddy and Albus was conceived. I was way in the future for now and it almost made me wonder how much my life depended on this moment.
"You came." I beamed.
"Right, erm, can you a take seat?" James offered the empty couch, "Please."
It was almost sweet watching dad cover mum as they approached the couch and I pursed my lips as he kept a bracing position for her. It made sense. They didn't trust us and Mum was pregnant as well.
"Right, erm, we'll just get on it then?" Albus started.
"We need your help to find someone." James spoke.
"Who?" Dad was the one who asked.
"A girl. Her name's Saphire. She's about sixteen right now." James continued.
"How long has she been missing?" Mum asked.
"Oh, a long, long time." I muttered, bothered by the image of that evil bitch. Cackling like a sour toad, waving her wand like she owned the Wizarding World. I could just strangle her or maybe burn her organs down, one by one.
"Look if you wanted us to find this girl, you could've just told us. I can set out my Aurors." Dad answered.
"Well, that's the thing, we can't let you do that." Albus intervened.
"I don't understand." Dad was getting agitated, I could tell.
"We are not from now." James sighed.
"Come again?" Mum gulped, nervously.
James pulled out the golden sparkly time turner that we'd used and I waited for the response.
"Oh, my God, are you kidding me?" Mum whined, dropping back in the couch with her hands rubbing her face.
"Yeah." Albus sighed.
"Well, who are you? Who is Saphire?" Dad's jaw clenched.
My hand insitinctively went for James and Albus' on each side of mine, since i could feel shivers. Mum held Dad's hand in anticipation and it warmed my heart. We were both nervous and it reminded me of when Dad pledged that whenever I'd get scared of anything, he wouldn't pressure me to share though he would wish I would. Instead, he would hold my hand till I would feel better. He said Mum used to do that for him whenever he felt nervous.
"We're actually siblings. Our parents... are dead. And we are from the year, 2021." Albus finished. The way shock marred their faces, I got scared.
"You've travelled back fifteen years?" Dad hissed.
"Why?" Mum was the first to stand up and Dad followed.
"To stop Saphire." I answered, needing to compose myself a bit.
"From killing your parents?" Dad asked and Albus nodded.
"No. No." Mum instantly turned us down, "You can't do that. You will mess up an entire timeline."
"Well, you see that's the thing." James' tall figure came in front of me and Albus took my hand. I was surprised at the timid look and red cheeks on Albus' face and was even more surprised that James was not only protecting me but him as well, "She isn't supposed to be here right now. She isn't supposed to be getting ready to kill you. It was a different time travel mistake that caused this ruckus and if we don't stop Saphire, she will grow up and kill our parents in the next fifteen years."
