Lily

Hogwarts time came and as we sat in our carts, I found myself sitting with Can, Albus, Rose and Scorpius. The only other person I was expecting to join us was Lysander but was unsure why he hadn't shown his face yet. Plus, I felt like a fifth wheel in the place.

"What are you looking for, Lil?" Albus asked.

"Lysander. Isn't he supposed to be joining us?"

"Hmm. Not sure." He mumbled.

I got up.

"I'm gonna go look for him." Truth was I just wanted to leave. Call me irritable or stupid but those hands holding and sitting close, made me lonely. And a little uncomfortable. As I walked out in the hallway, I didn't see Lysander in any of the compartments. For some reason, I was getting worried. A tight feeling pulsed in my chest and I pulled out my phone.

I called his number but no response. I called again but nothing.

Finally, I came across an empty compartment and settled within. I was never tired of the serene view as we traveled to Hogwarts and it went kind of peaceful. I didn't know how much time had passed but as the closer mountains ended by the window and the distant hills came to site, I heard a voice call for me.

"Heard you were looking for me." I turned to Lysander but my smile faded at the scar on his right cheekbone that had white stitches on it. He walked in and released a loud breath sitting across from me.

"Well?" I called after a spell of silence. He got up, groaning, and sat on my bench, just at a little distance. I wondered why, till he kicked his legs up and placed his head on my leg.

"My head hurts." He mumbled, crossing his arms and resting with shut eyes, "Let me sleep a bit."

"Y-" I was about to start again when his relaxed face, told me to shut up. He genuinely seemed tired, pale, and with circles under his eyes. That wound hadn't healed yet but it'd dried up. I almost touched it but winced myself at the heat radiating from where the scar was. But then again, I realized that it wasn't the scar, it was all of his face. He had a fever. I gasped and pulled out my wand before gently closing it near his head. The cooling spell would give him the treatment he needed since I didn't have rags to do it.

"That's nice." He mumbled.

"You have a fever." I touched his cheek a little, "Merlin, what happened?"

"Don't worry about it."

"How can I not?" I smacked his chest and he groaned.

"Why are you always so violent?" He gasped.

"Why are you hurt and sick? Tell me now or I'll keep hitting you."

"You Potters are merciless."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I hissed.

"I'll tell you if you swear to keep it a secret." He seemed amused by this opportunity and I glared at him.

"Fine."

"I'm doing my job."

"You have a job? What job?"

"Apprenticeship."

"What?" I yelled and he almost fell off of me.

"Shh." He got up and sat on a knee in front of me, "I said keep it a secret!"

"Apprentice? Why? Who? Why? When? Are you crazy? Why?"

"Lily!" He placed a hand on my mouth, "Calm down."
