"Why is everyone staring at me?" I mumbled to Can, who seemed completely uninterested.

"They see Wizards every day, but not celebrities."

"I'm no celebrity."

"You're wearing gold buckled shoes." She flattened.

"Not by choice."

"It still counts." She sucked at the lollipop in her mouth.

"This is tiring." We were currently walking back from Hogsmeade after a nice lunch with just the two of us. Albus had disapperation training and Mason and I weren't exactly on the best terms so when I asked Candice to join me, it ended up with just the two of us. Because the rest, Rose, Scorpius, and Lily, were busy in their relationships.

"Mason is still being a douche?" She asked and I could only nod.

"I just think..." I started but she gave me a squint eye.

"I told him we should call it off."

"Because he is a douche." She added.

"It's just overwhelming."

"Sure. Stupid."

I sighed. Candice had no mercy.

"I'm sorry about the rumors, Can." I started and she clicked her tongue.

"It's okay. Albus understands but I don't think he is going to remain silent." She spoke nervously. The rumors we were discussing were ones spread by an anonymous source that Candice was my chosen partner for the future. Because of our dating history, the rumors had more ground and now the entire school believed we were going to go off together after graduation, despite the previous information that I'd confirmed being in a relationship with a boy and Candice dating Albus.

"Yeah. I just hope it won't cause issues amongst us. I told Uncle that I'm interested in Mason and that if he doesn't want to go head-on-head with the Potters, there should be no attempt to get us together."

"Damn. And he took that warning?" She giggled.

"Uncle doesn't want to go against the Potters for two reasons as he put it; one being their power. He says that if the Potters wanted, they'd be the crown and second he's a huge fan of Mrs. Potter."

"Wow. I mean, I know how Mr. and Mrs. Potter have their names spread out but that much of an impact?" She pouted.

"Don't tell anyone, but Uncle once challenged Mr. Potter to a duel and you can guess how that went." I bit my lip.

"Holy shit." She cackled, "Why would he even challenge him? Uncle Harry is the head of Defense in addition to being the legendary boy who lived!"

"Uncle used to be an apprentice to Fudge. Cornelius Fudge. He said he worked for him for a while but Fudge denounced their apprenticeship when he dropped out of the ministry."

"What?! Why doesn't anyone know this?" She jumped.

"Because it was embarrassing for Uncle's father that his son had lost his apprenticeship before he even graduated school. He said that he used to observe Mr. and Mrs. Potter and always wanted to duel them once."

"Wow. I kinda like your Uncle." Candice beamed, "He's so charming."

"Probably the only good thing about my family." I mumbled and Candice elbowed my arm.
