"Ready?" Merlin spoke as I tied the harness on my shoulder, tucking my wand in and a bit of black explosive powder. I turned to look at Aria, twiddling her thumbs, biting her lip down.
"Nervous?" I asked.
"What do you think?" She bit out and I chuckled, walking and pecking her cheek.
"I'll be okay."
"I know. Just, if you die... remember, I'll kill you." I couldn't help but laugh at her attempts to lighten the mood. She was so loveable despite her rigid rage every now and then, it made her appealing all the same. I kissed her gently and she blushed, fully aware that Mum and Dad were in the room.
As for Mum and dad, they had drilled their practices into me but I still wasn't confident with performing the spells. Especially the wall of fire. Mum's spell was insane and the way she controlled that typhoon was more magical, even for a magician like myself. Her steps wouldn't falter and her focus wouldn't faze, if anything she looked most in her element.
I turned to them and Dad nodded, wordlessly and mum cocked a brow, surprising me with no broken expression on her face.
"Feigning fearlessness?" I teased.
"Don't tempt me." She warned and I laughed, turning to Merlin again.
"Thank you." He told Dad. I took his arm before we disappeared and we landed in a forest. It was quiet and by the air and light around, it was either dusk or dawn time.
"Where are we?"
"Forest of Findle."
"Isn't that in Ireland?"
He nodded.
"Why are we here? Seems quiet."
Before he could answer, snaps sounded and I ducked, hiding behind a tree, watching a man, merely a teen falling in the mud. He had blood running down his temple and he was huffing and watching the black cloaked figure, fallen to the floor in a distance behind. The kid had raven ruffled hair with pale skin and body in a grey hood and black pants. By the fog coming from my breathing, I could tell it was too cold for him to be in that attire.
"Alex!" A girl cried out and ran to him, wearing a black long coat with jeans legs showing under as she ran to him. She had long, wavy dark hair as well with pale skin, the same as the boy. She had a bit of familiarity to the boy, almost the same as if siblings.
"Who're they?" I mumbled and almost flinched to a fall when Merlin spoke over my head.
"Alex and Savanna. Twins."
"What is happening?"
"They're being hunted."
"Why?"
"Because they refuse to convert."
"Finish the thought, sir." I was agitated.
"To His side. Klaus Black."
"Klaus? As in the man who wants your immortality?" I turned and he nodded, "He's already taken over Ireland?"
"In the year 2041, he and his army have taken over everywhere."
"What? This is 2041?!"
"I'm showing you a prophecy I saw which brought me here to you." He spoke, "See those two over there?" I eyed the kids again, "They're the only two left of their family. Their parents died upon ambush, they even lost a little sister, their entire family."
