Lily
"How was work?" Dad cleared his throat.
"Oh, it was nice. Class was actually calm." She sighed, dropping in chair. Albus offered her water.
"Dad." Albus leaned by the table and he looked up at him, "James and I were thinking that maybe, him and i should go in first and survey the area. You know, to account if there is a larger group around the area."
"And how do you propose that?" Back with the stern mode. James dropped my invisibility cloak.
"We could borrow yours as well and have two to walk around."
"Two?"
"Yeah. You gifted this to me on my fourteenth Christmas." James smirked.
"Of course I did."
"Its not fair, you know." Albus crossed his arms standing beside Mum. She chuckled and wrapped an arm around his waist, "He even stole the map from your desk!"
"He what?" Dad glared at James.
"In my time!" He raised hands.
"Alright. Alright. No fights among the family." Mum raised hands, "Harry." She sighed, "Im not saying that we aren't strong and we cant fight but I'm pretty sure, Albus and Lily can't use magic over there. I mean, the Ministry will be alerted and I'm pretty sure it will be in their time."
"Well, we don't care then. As long as it saves your lives."
"Well I do." She sighed.
"Well, Mum, I can go." Albus crossed his arms, "i won't need magic to fight."
"Why not?"
"Think there's enough space?" He muttered to James.
"Yeah, just jump on the table." He mumbled back.
"Mum, dad, you might wanna move back." Albus spoke. They exchanged a look and moved away. James and I stepped away as Albus prepared. Albus took a moment to compose himself and just as his body twitched and arched, he roared a bit and ripped into a beautiful white snow leapord. James looked at him with a smirk. I giggled to myself, watching the surprise on their faces.
"He's... an animagus?" Dad asked.
Albus gave a low rumble. While Dad was unmoving, Mum took a careful step ahead and placed a hand on the bridge of his nose. He purred and leaned into her touch. She was in a daze. I almost felt tears fall from me. She did that first time Albus turned completely and comfortably.
"You registered him to be an animagus when he promised a career to be an auror."
"You're kidding me..." Dad muttered, walking ahead and admiring his posture. Mum ran fingers in his fur and he shut his eyes. I looked over at James, who was holding his breath. I squeezed his arm to console but instead he shook his head with smirk, a wink and then patted my head. He wasn't sad, he was satisfied.
"Mum did that to him when he was going through his process. Since it was a bit painful, she would always caress him to sleep. He was better then." James nodded. After his trials finished, transforming became easy but it remained painful at times he failed a perfect changes. Mum would then take care of him till he'd sleep and wake up new.
"He's enjoying that mum." I told her as Albus seemed to be lost under her hand. My brother seemed a bit... relaxed... for the first time in a long time. Then, in a minute, Albus changed back but his face was still in Mum's palm. She caressed his cheek.
"Hi." She smiled. Albus wrapped arms around her.
"He wanted to be an animagus so he could spend time with you through your transformations mum." I explained and Dad was the one who was wearing his expressions on his sleeve.
