Two years later...
Lily
As I stood, looking at myself in the mirror, I was losing every minute of my mind. The dress I was wearing was a silk gown with black off-shoulder net straps that were fluffy somewhat over the all red gown. The torso fit my body gently and the straight skirt went loose from the waist below. The gown had a black ribbon around the waist that I tied in the black and a thin wrap of black net flowed over the skirt of the dress with the slit in the middle that let a nice flow show through of the dress's silk. My hair, I straightened and made two thin braids from temples, that I tied in the back. As I wore the black t-strapped shoes that were once mum's, a knock startled me a bit.
"C-Come in." I called, lifting my dress, to see my shoes, "Oh, Dad."
He was standing, with eyes a little silent and wide.
"Lil..."
"How do I look?" I giggled.
"I...Er... I, you look..." He released a breath and walked into the room. He was wearing a tuxedo with long black robe on top. His hands raised and I took them. With that, he helped me out of the unfastened shoes and sat me on the dresser chair. He placed the shoes at my feet and I slid them in before he tied the ribbons for me. He was staring too hard at the shoes, so I wondered if he was having difficulty. Only he sniffled and looked up, smiling.
"Are you sure you can walk in heels?" He looked up and I giggled.
We heard a snap and Mum lowered the camera in the door.
"Daddy's in tears!" She pouted at the camera, "Now this is what I'll save for the rest of my life." While Mum was laughing, we were ogling at this forty-five years old woman with chest length red hair, loose on one shoulder, dressed in curls over a body hugging wine red dress which was clearly velvet. It had an off-shoulder neckline, with full sleeves and the rest of the dress, hugging down her body with a slightly loose flare from knees below. The dress had no lace or extra embroidery but the elegance sat well on her body. Her face was in gentle make-up with a red lip colour that was not too dark, nor to bright. Just perfect.
"Whoa." I murmured.
Dad stood up and looked between the two of us.
"Mum, you look so beautiful." I complimented and she looked up.
"Says Lily Potter. You sure you're fifteen young lady?" She walked ahead and picked up a faded red colour off the dresser, applying it on my mouth. I sat on the chair and she started making my straight hair into a loose bun in the back.
Dad cleared his throat, coming beside us. Watching Mum make my hair. She tied the first tie in my hair herself before waving her fingers and letting magic take over. In a spell, my hair were in a large loose bun, shaped like a flower behind my hair, with a few curls touching my cheeks. She bent over beside me and I watched her hair tie in the same way.
"I'm telling you Harry, we've got some serious deadly looks." She murmured and we pouted in the mirror together, checking our lip colour, "Here baby." A silver leaf necklace came around my neck and it crawled around with red rubies growing in it like flowers. Tiny but perfect, "Your dad gave it to me one Christmas. Harry?" The necklace sat perfectly with the silver ruby studs she'd given me earlier.
Dad was still not talking.
We turned to look at him and he was just staring.
"Harry?" She called again.
"I don't know what I'm supposed to say right now."
"You look beautiful?" Mum suggested and I snorted, "I don't like the hair, Gin?"
