AS I APPROACHED Aragorn and Gandalf, my footsteps echoing softly in the quiet corridor, a wave of concern washed over me for Legolas. "Aragorn," I began, my voice laced with worry, "did Legolas have second watch tonight?"

Aragorn's nod confirmed my fears. "Yes, he did. Is he alright?" He asked. "Not entirely," I replied, my voice tinged with worry. "Legolas isn't feeling well. He's had too much to drink, and I fear he might have overexerted himself."

Aragorn nodded, understanding as earlier he too had noticed the men's actions. "I'll go check on him right away."

With Aragorn's assurance, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. I watched as Aragorn swiftly made his way towards our resting spot. Turning my attention back to Gandalf, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards the wise wizard.

"Gandalf, thank you for looking out for us," I said earnestly, my voice filled with appreciation.

Gandalf smiled kindly at me. "It is my duty to ensure the safety and well-being of all those who accompany me on this journey."

As I stood there, bathed in the soft glow of torchlight, I felt a sense of calm wash over me.

Our conversation then shifted to Aine and Khellan, and I couldn't shake the guilt of bringing them into this battle. "I worry about Aine and Khellan," I confessed, concern evident in my voice. "They've been through so much already."

Gandalf's understanding gaze offered reassurance. "They are strong. They will find their way, just as you will. Do not worry child." He kindly responded, offering me a kind smile.

Feeling reassured, I bid Gandalf goodnight and made my way back to our resting spot.

As I approached, I saw Aragorn kneeling beside Legolas, his expression humorous.

"How is he?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

Aragorn glanced up at me. "He's exhausted, but he should recover with some rest. Next time, keep him away from the ale."

I let out a sigh of relief, grateful that Legolas would be alright. Sitting down beside them, I gently brushed a lock of hair away from Legolas's forehead, my touch comforting and reassuring.

"You should sleep Princess, when it's time for his watch I will wake him, and have someone accompany him to his post." Aragorn assured me, placing a hand on my shoulder.
