"I'm back!," Jeno announced when the two boys entered his house.
"I brought Donghyuck with me!," he then yelled, as a reaction hearing his mom's footsteps approaching.
"Hi Donghyuck, is everything alright?," she asked while appearing into the sight of the the boys.
"Oh god, you are totally soaked from head to toe!," she then remarked before Donghyuck even had the chance to answer her.
"I remember telling you to take an umbrella," she afterwards scolded her son, shaking her head in disbelief to which Jeno just stayed silent, rubbing his nape guiltily. Donghyuck could tell that his mom wasn't really mad or anything though because she was a very soft person and only concerned about her boy's health.
"I'll get you two towels," Mrs. Lee said after the boys had changed into slippers, Donghyuck funnily having his own ones as he was always a special, appreciated guest.
"Oh and you can give me your stuff," she then offered and took Donghyuck's drenched plastic bag which contained his supermarket food from his hands to which he thanked her gratefully. She was so kind!
"Mom, Donghyuck is sleeping over by the way," Jeno told her while she was heading into the house. The woman only replied with a relaxed "Okay" to that, stunning Donghyuck with her chill nature and making both boys happy.
"Here are some towels, make sure to dry your hair properly so that you don't catch a cold," Mrs. Lee advised as she came back with a pile of colorful towels in her arms.
"Thank you," Donghyuck said and accepted a big blue towel, starting to rub his hair.
"Before you put all your strength into getting dry, do you want to take a shower maybe? I saw that you were cold before and it could help warm you up... And uh, you can lend some of my clothes clothes if you want then," Jeno proposed, Donghyuck halting his movements as a reaction.
"Haha, are you able to read my mind? I actually wanted to go take shower at home after having bought my food but I was to shy to ask you if I could because I didn't want to be a disturbance," the younger answered, hanging his towel over his shoulders.
"Come on, stop overthinking," Jeno retorted, grabbing Donghyuck by his arm and dragging him until the bathroom of the second floor.
"Fresh towels are in this cupboard. I'll bring you some clothes and place them in front of the door," he explained and left, closing the door and lastly mumbling, loud enough for Donghyuck to hear, "Enjoy your shower. Take all the time you need..."
Touched, Donghyuck began to undress, quickly going into the shower stall and letting the water run as he didn't want Jeno to wait to long. He believed they would soon have dinner together as well, so he speeded the process up as good as he could, investing less time than usual in thoroughly spreading the shampoo in his hair.
"So that is the nice-smelling shampoo Jeno uses," he thought to himself with a curious smile when he put its bottle back to where it had stood before.
Finishing his shower, he wrapped himself in a huge towel made of a pleasant fabric and carefully reached out for the clothes lying outside in front of the door. The boy chuckled at the t-shirt with the saying "I walk around like everything's fine, but deep down, inside my shoe, my sock is sliding off" imprinted, wondering where the heck his friend had gotten such a unique piece of clothing and putting it on with a grin on his face.
