I wouldn't be telling the truth
If I don't admit that I depend on you
Constant growing up
The difference between night and day
We watch the moon rise and all that indicates
I got a home in you that noon illuminates
Together, alone in you
I'm not running away

Kie spent the rest of the night making sure JJ didn't have alcohol poisoning. She wasn't seriously worried about that, but it still took quite a few tries to get him from the dock to the pullout. His old room was just too far to expect anything but disaster and the last thing she wanted was to have to clean up vomit in the morning from pressing their luck.

She watched him collapse on the couch, hugging the cushion as he tucked it under himself. When she went to walk away so she could change his arm shot out to her leg, hand wrapping around her knee and pulling her towards him. With his face rested against her he requested, "Just stay with me."

It took everything in her not to audibly awe at his plea. Forgetting all about changing from her clothes, she climbed into the pullout and snuggled up to him. His arms wrapped around her center.

"Don't throw up in my hair," she told him, only mildly serious.

His reply was a breathy chuckle as he just continued to nuzzle into her neck. She kissed his forehead in response and turned over to find slumber. She wasn't expecting him to even be awake when he whispered to her,

"Hey, Kie."

"Yeah?" she whispered back. Didn't have to actually, everyone was passed out in the other rooms and they had more than enough privacy for any kind of conversation. Still, she liked the secretiveness of his tone, like he was going to whisper something she's never heard before.

"You wanna move in with me?"

What?

Her breath caught in her throat, unsure of whether he's being extra or is actually serious. His eyes were closed, like it was just a passing thought, but then when she goes to look at him more seriously over her shoulder, she sees that he's opened them, looking at her like he was actually asking.

"I don't know," she shrugs, twisting her body around to be facing his front. "Think your room is big enough for the both of us?" she quips.

She giggles slightly, taking the route that he's just drunk and thinking with an unfiltered mind. It was cute to see him like this. All happy and hopeful for their future.

It made her feel a type of way that only he could. Like things were possible for them. Like he had chosen and decided that she was it for him. That even in a state of practically unconscious mind he would still choose her.

And it was adorable to see how cute he was when all his walls were down. He showed her his emotional vulnerabilities more than anyone else, and she never took it for granted. What girl doesn't like it when the guy they're in love with gives her their beating heart, asking for it to be held and treasured. What girl wouldn't give her heart right back?

JJ's face dropped slightly, making Kie knit her brows together, now trying to understand why his mood seemed to shift.

"Yeah, I guess," he shrugged. "If Shoupe still wants me there, ya know?"

Now her face widens in shock. He was far too drunk to have the serious conversation that she knows this requires. This was clearly a drunk and worried JJ she was dealing with.
