The high-pitched and repetitive sound of my alarm played loudly next to my ear. I quickly turned it off and pushed my phone away, switching to another comfortable position.
"Yaa Felix, necesitas ir a la escuela hoy!!"
My mom yelled out to me from the kitchen to which I let out an annoyed groan. I slowly sat up on my bed, rubbing my eyes as I yawn. I get out of bed and look for some clothes to wear for the day.I change into some black jeans I usually wear and a dark colored hoodie. I sat down on the kitchen table, playing with my food as I waited for my bus.
"Ya no quiero problemas contigo en la escuela, entiendes??"
My mom lectured me, I rolled my eyes but nodded obediently. I took bites out of my food anxiously, knowing this was the third school I was switched to."Si ma."
I replied, taking a last bite out of my food as I looked at the time. I got up and grabbed my backpack from the floor and slipped on the sneakers I wear almost everyday as I walked out the kitchen."Ya my voy pues, bye!"
I yelled out to my mom, running out the front door.As I opened the door, I looked over to my living room, having to take a second look at a certain photo my mother framed many years ago. The photo showed me when I was younger, maybe about four or five years old. Next to me was another girl around the same age, our arms around each others shoulders.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, trying to regain memory on who the girl was. After a moment of staring at the picture, I shook my head and walked out the door, realizing I was about to miss my bus.
