Felix was acting like a whole new man. Don't get me wrong, this kind and thoughtful side of him was sooo much better, but the fact he really had changed just because of me just really did it for me. No guy had ever gone down a road of self improvement for me. Sure Sam took me on fancy and romantic dates, but a cheap teddy bear is worth a lot more to me. Especially since it was from Felix. I sit down at my designated seat in Ms. Eggfreid's, right next to Gisselle who was already sitting waiting for me.
"Hey Susanna." She greeted me, looking up from the small pop it she held in her hands.
"Hey Gisselle, I missed you!" I say, looking at the teddy bear.
"Who gave you that?" She asked, pointing to the white bear.
"Felix! He said he wants to win me over with stuff like this." I say, cheeks turning red.
"You dog! Just broke up with Sam and already have Felix giving you teddy bears." She said, giggling.
"Ugh don't even remind me about Sam. What kind of excuse was that for breaking up with me?" I say, scoffing.
Gisselle was about to answer me before Ms. Eggfreid spoke.
"Okay class, take out your books!"
"But didn't Felix also cheat on you?" Gisselle whispered. "It's still kinda a lose-lose." She said, reaching for her backpack.
"Ugh I know but I wanna believe he's changed. Would old Felix give me that whole spiel about 'being a better man' and walk me to class?" I whispered back.
I retrieved my book and started reading, engrossing myself in the world of "The 100".

The bell finally rang and I made my way to the door. As I walked out of Ms. Eggfreid's classroom, Felix stood outside the door, arms crossed and head tilted.
"Hey Susanna." He said, a smug smile on his face.
"Oh you were serious about walking me to class?" I say, smiling up at him.
"Yeah! You said you like that anyway." He said, walking with me.
"Where are we headed to next?" He asks, hands in pockets.
"Well I have Ms. Haton next." I say, holding the teddy bear close to me.
We do a few laps around the halls talking about anything and everything.
"So about that walk in the park..." He said. "Are you free after school?" He asks, looking to his side to look at me.
"Sure. But I'll probably be hungry by then too." I say, chuckling.
"Then it must be your lucky day because I just saw a TikTok about making pizzas and now I'm in the mood to make one!" He said laughing.
"Lucky me!" I replied.
The final bell rang and we arrived to Ms. Haton's door.
"See you in an hour." I said to Felix.
"See ya."
~~~
It was now the end of the school day. I stood in the courtyard near the school exit waiting for Felix. He was going to give me a ride to his house to make that pizza and then eat it at the park as a "picnic date." I looked down at my phone, waiting for a message from Felix to tell me where he was.
I jumped at the sudden hand placed on my back.
"Sorry, Ms. Pace let us out late. Let's go make that pizza!" Felix said.
