I have been awake for a few hours now, sitting on my bed, Susanna laying next to me. I couldn't help but stare at her as she slept. She looked beautiful, even with dry tear stains on her cheeks and messy hair. I pulled out my phone from my pocket carefully, making sure not to wake up Susanna with my movement. I opened up the group chat of my friends and typed.
"guys Susanna is laying in my bed rn asleep. what do I do now?" I sent.
"bro WHAT" Edward replied back instantly.
"why don't you leave that poor girl alone already bro😭" Jaiden sent.
"nah wait lemme cook. tell her to get back w you. give that whole speech about being a better man and say sum like "all these girls could never replace you, beautiful."!" Luis sent in response.
"wait let him cook" Edward replied.
I chuckled softly as I read their messages before putting my phone on my nightstand.
I pulled Susanna closer to me, playing with one of the small braids in her hair. She always had braids in her hair.
They were so cute.
Her hair felt soft, almost like velvet. I wished I could stay like this forever, her in my arms, not a single worry in my head. But then again, I wished she would wake up so I could keep talking to her and look into those pretty brown eyes.
As if she heard my thoughts, Susanna slowly opened her eyes. I saw her eyes dart around the room at first, trying to make sense of where she was. She then looked down at herself and noticed the arms around her. She looked up at me and her eyebrows slightly came together.
"Felix?" She whispered out.
"Yes, Susanna?" I said, running my fingers through her hair.
"I shouldn't be here.." she mumbled.
"Do you have somewhere else to be?" I said, looking into her eyes.
"No." She replied.
She dug her head into my chest, adjusting herself to get closer to me. I swear I could kiss her right now, but that wasn't socially acceptable yet.
"Then there shouldn't be a problem." I replied in a low whisper, my hands entangling with her hair, she could probably hear how fast my heart was beating.
I could feel her let out a small sigh on my chest, which just made me smile. She's so beautiful.
"You gonna give me another chance?" I asked.
"Huh?" She replied, quickly looking up at me as her eyebrows furrowed.
"Ever since we reunited, I really wanted to change for the better. Partially myself, but mostly for you."
"I know I already gave you this stupid speech last time but you know.. It really shows how much I want you back. I don't want to screw up again, I want to keep this, what we had, forever. I want you to be mine. I will do anything until I get to be yours."
Susanna looked at me confused, clearly allowing everything I just told her to process through her mind. Maybe I shouldn't have told her that right after she had just woken up.
My thoughts were quickly interrupted as I felt her head back on my chest, her lips mumbling out words.
"Let me think, yeah?" She replied.
I smiled and gently scratched her head.
"Yeah, right."
