I slowly awoke from my deep sleep, rubbing my eyes. I let out a small groan as I moved around the bed, all the memories of yesterday flooding my mind again. Fucking Felix. I mentally facepalm at how stupid I was, moving my hand around the bed to feel for my phone. I couldn't find it so I sat up, realizing I wasn't even home. I look down, I was covered in a large fluffy blanket on a twin-sized bed. This wasn't my room?? I look to my side, my phone and bow laying on the night stand.
I quickly snatched my phone and looked at the time. 11:34. I put it back down, trying to figure out where I was. I slowly got out of bed, still in my clothes from last night. I walked over to the door, slowly peeking out of it.
Right there in front of me was Samuel, or Sam, I guess. He was still asleep on the couch, his shirtless back facing me. I took in his figure, trying not to stare much as I turned back to the room and slipping my bow and phone into my pocket.
I then quietly and carefully walked over to his kitchen, grabbing a water bottle from the pack that was on the floor. I gently snapped it open and took a small sip, realizing how dry my mouth really was. I analyzed his house, it was small but comfortable, it was more like an apartment. I took my phone out of my pocket, turning off 'do not disturb' feature, realizing my friends were calling and texting my phone the whole night.
I smiled at their concerns, not at their worries but how they cared for me. I began typing to the group chat, not wanting to leave them even more worried.
"hey guys, I'm fine"
"ig you guys were right about felix but yk what, it led me to this guy named samuel!!"
"he's nice he took me in last night"I sent to the group chat, leaving them with nothing else. I quickly turned up as I heard Sam yawn out, trying to figure out whether he was awake or not.
"You awake?" I speak out, loud enough for him to hear but low enough to not wake him up.
"Yeaah." He replied in a low groan which echoed through the living room. I don't know what it was, but something about his voice gave me chills, it was all low and breathy, it was oddly attractive. I quickly cleared my mind as I realized he was standing up from the couch, looking up at him from the kitchen.
"You sleep well?" Sam asked in his same morning voice, my stomach almost filling with butterflies.
"Yeah, your bed is nice." I said with a slight smile, taking a sip of my water. I looked back down at my phone, my friends replying back
Sam got up from the couch, stretching his arms as he walked over to the kitchen. I looked up at him and gazed at him, his hair messy, only wearing a pair of black sweatpants with some socks. I looked down at the floor, not wanting to make my staring obvious as I heard the stove on.
"You want some eggs or something?" He asked, leaning on the counter next to the stove as he looked at me.
I could feel my face heat up, as he looked my way, smiling slightly. "I'm good, thanks though."
Sam nodded and turned back to the now heated stove, cracking at least five or even six eggs into it.
"You eating all of that?" I asked jokingly.
He laughed softly and shook his head, scrambling the eggs. "Not all for me, for my siblings. They'll be here in awhile."
I raised my eyebrows, interested in his answer. "Don't they eat at their own house?"
"Nah, my mom could care less about them. I'm basically their father, I'm the only one taking care of them." He replied casually as if it was normal or something. I felt bad for him. Even though we just met, he is already telling me about his personal problems.
"Sorry about that." I replied softly, looking down at the floor.
"It's not your fault my family's shitty, I'm fine with it really." He said reassuringly, making me feel somewhat better.
"If you want, I can bring over some more food for you guys sometime." I offered, trying to be as respectful as I can about his home life.
"No need to do that, but if you really want to go ahead." He said as he brought out many plates, placing portions of the scrambled eggs onto them.
I smiled, knowing I'd try to bring some anyway. I checked my the time again, realizing it was starting to get more late.
"I should get going before my mom freaks." I said as I stood up from the chair.
"Yeah sure, your bags in my room I'm pretty sure." I gave him a quick nod before walking to his room, retrieving my bag.
As I grabbed my bag from the night stand, I noticed a little plastic bag. Is that..? No, it can't be.. I took a closer look, not wanting to touch it.
It was literal drugs. I furrowed my eyebrows worryingly, but not wanting to bring it up. I took my bag and walked out his room.
"See ya', Susanna." He said with a sly smile. I smiled back, giving him a small wave as I left.
Why do the troubled guys always go for me?
