My first days at my new school went pretty well. I had my old friends, I was making new friends, and a shit ton of girls wanted me. Plus, the boys soccer coach wanted me on his team. So now, I was gonna stay after school for practices. All of my friends were on the team, so I knew I was gonna have a good time like how we used to. I pulled up to practice, most of the team already doing warm-up stretches. Our team managers were also there. Filling up waters and airing up balls. I recognized one of them. It was that girl that tripped on me in the halls. Damn, was she just everywhere at this school? Or was she just fotllowing me? Not tryna flex or anything, but girls just seemed to not leave me alone lately.
"Yo, Felix! You're here!" Edward said as he dapped me up.
"Yeah man, couldn't miss the opportunity to cook you all!" I joked.
"Yeah right man." Edward replied, a smile plastered on his face.
We walked towards the field together. Approaching the rest of our friends. The managers also made their way to the field. The girl with the long hair held the water bottles and her friend carrying the soccer balls.
"Hey, Felix. You know one of the managers is that old friend we brought up the other day?" Luis commented.
"Huh? Really? How do you know bro?" I asked confused.
"I vaguely remembered her name, it was like Susanna Martin? And when we got paired up together in math I finally put two and two together." Luis stated
That's right. Susanna Martinez. We met in kindergarten and were best friends until I got moved in 3rd grade. Damn, I forgot about her!
"Oh that's cool man, but I don't think she even remembers me so" I shrugged my shoulders and walked towards a ball.
"Nah man, she said she does remember you. I asked her." Luis commented blankly.
What?
What does he mean he asked and she remembers? What is he up to?
"You asked her? What are you doing man?" I asked, slightly annoyed.
"Well, ain't she kinda bad bro? And if you were already best friends with her, I'm just sayin there could be something there!" Luis laughed.
"You tryna set me up with her bro? If you are, I don't need your help. I'm the whole package." I say, running my hands down my chest, laughing.
"Matter of fact, I'll bet you 30 bucks I can bag that girl." I challenge Luis.
"Deal."
