I fixed the small braids that rested atop my head. I decided to add blue rubberbands to my braids. My already completely black outfit needed atleast a small bit of color.

Oh Shit, It's already 7:40!

I scurried to where my backpack sat on a chair and picked it up frantically. I practically ran out the front door and to my bus stop. It was a quiet morning, like any other. Except the Arizona heat wasn't that strong this morning.
In fact, it was quite windy this morning.

As I walked over to my bus stop, the wind blowing through my long, wavy hair, my bangs almost covering my vision, I noticed something oddly familiar. Someone.

A tall, curly-haired boy stood against a fence of a house, distracted by his phone.

He was obviously new as I've never seen him around school before, but his face, curls, everything just seemed so familiar. But from where?

It was now later in the day and my friends and I walked to the cafeteria after fourth period, talking about everything any anything that came to mind. As we walked inside and over to our table, I saw the same familiar boy I noticed on my bus stop.

I sat down and decided to tell my friends about it, until I realized he was already the topic of our conversation.

"Did you guys see Felix came back??" Emilio asked us with a shocked expression, Gisselle decided to add on:

"Yeah, I thought he would've ended up in juvie honestly." The group snickered at the comment, a slight smile growing on my face.

"Is Felix that new kid?"
I asked, trying to make sure we were all talking about the same person.

"Yeah! I remember once in second, his mom had to go to school with him for a whole month because he couldn't behave himself." Ana added.

The group continued speaking about old experiences they had with Felix, which honestly had me shocked. His face and name was familiar, but the way he acted? Didn't seem to ring a bell at all. I shook the thought away and continued to listen to my friend's appalling and infamous stories about Felix.
