It was now fifth period and I was already late. The halls were empty and quiet, surprisingly, not even a single monitor in sight. I look down at the paper that has my schedule printed over it, still confused how to locate the classes.
"Yo, Felix! Is that you?"
I heard from behind, quickly turning around. It was an old friend of mine from many years ago. I met him during elementary I'm guessing before I switched schools.
"Matthew? What's good dude!" I replied as I walked over to him, dapping him up.
"When did you start going here? I thought you were in some troubled school or something."
Matthew said teasingly, playfully punching me with his elbow.I smirked slightly and snickered at his comment.
"Got expelled from another school. I have to figure out this one now." I showed him my schedule, he immediately took the paper from me.
"Math? Oh I got you, follow me." Matthew replied, leading my down the hall of this still, very confusing school.
~~~
I gently opened the door to math after Matthew dropped me off, feeling the whole class seem to snap their necks to look at me.
I avoided making any eye contact with any other students, walking over to the teacher's desk.
I handed the teacher my schedule, speaking before she could say anything. "Wheres my seat?"
The teacher looked at my schedule, then back up at me as she handed it back.
"Well, sir Felix, your seat will be over there." She said with some passive aggressiveness, pointing at a empty seat in the far back.
I furrowed my eyebrows and snatched my schedule back from her hand, walking to the seat and dropping my backpack next to it
I crossed my arms and slightly laid back as the teacher began to teach. Even though I was new and was used to people looking at me a lot, the feeling of being watched felt a lot heavier than normal.
I looked around the class, seeing a brown pair of eyes looking at me. It was a girl I've seen around before, the one with really long hair.
I turned away and pulled my phone out my pocket, deciding to distract myself from everything and play some Clash Royale.
