"No way." Ana said with her mouth open as I nodded at her.

"Way." Liza said, the whole group giggling at her comment.

"Yeah, I don't even know why he tried 'making' things up with me, we weren't even anything!" I explained to my friends about my current situation with Felix, and also my little crush on Sam. I still hadn't seen him at school, but I knew I'd eventually end up bumping into him or just spotting him.

"So what about Samuel? Are you gonna go find him or what?" Gisselle asks, leaning in onto the table.

"I'll find him soon, don't worry." I said reassuringly.

It was now fifth period and the classroom filled with student's whispers and the teachers chatter. I doodled on the paper and occasionally spoke to Liza. I was trying to focus and write notes on what the teacher said, considering my grade has been lacking recently, but it was hard to focus when all I could think about was Sam. I hadn't seen him all day, did he even go to this school??? I don't know, I pulled out my bathroom pass to go to the bathroom. Well, not really, just wanting to have some peace and quiet whilst walking around the halls. I walked up to the teacher handed her the pass, and went on with my day.

I pulled out my phone as soon as I walked out the classroom, scrolling through TikTok and Instagram. That was until I walked pass the boys bathroom and heard some people talking, whispering almost. I'm not one to eavesdrop but something about the conversation made me want to. I stood next to the bathroom door, trying to listen to what they were saying. All I could hear were muffled whispers, one person sounding frustrated or disappointed or something.

It was hard to hear so I decided to get back on my phone and walk away.

"Susanna, hey!" I heard behind me as I walked away, quickly stopping in my tracks.

"Oh, hey Sam!" I replied with a smile, turning around and walking towards him.

"You left so early yesterday.. What are you doing out here?" He asked, his shirt reeking in the scent of weed.

"Just walking around, wanted to get out of class." I replied. "What about you? What are you doing?"

"Nothing much, just skipping honestly." He said with a smug smile in his face that made us both chuckle. "Also, I wanted to ask you for your number. If you ever want to hang out or anything."

I could feel my face begin to heat up as soon as he asked that, it was like we were meant for each other or something.

"Yeah, of course." He smiled at me and handed me his phone, to which I put my number in.

"Thanks, I'll text you later, don't want to take up all your class time." He said teasingly, giving my a small smile before returning to the bathroom.

I gave him a small wave as he left, giggling to myself as I walked back to class. I'm so in there.

A few weeks have now passed and my life has been going so well. Fair music and bright lights taking up my vision and sound with Sam right by my side. We walked through the crowds of people, even winning a few prizes at the fair games. This was our little celebration for finishing finals and now almost finishing school. We soon found a small spot with little people, it had small, dim lights but beautiful white acacia flowers surrounding the area. Sam and I walked to a small two person table, placing a small dessert we bought on the table.

"Those rides were so scary, how do you even like them?" I asked playfully, Sam giggling at my comment.

"They weren't that bad. You should be glad you had me by your side." He replied, which made me smile.
