Becca's POV

I was honetly and nervous wreck after Catt left and Zee was taking a shower. What was Emily even like? Is she good with kids? God, what if she hurts Asher? I would never forgive her and I would most definitely drop out. I have to call about adopting him anyway.

I walked over to the sleeping baby and looked into the play pin. The sighed alone made my heart melt. He was basically mine now, all I had to do was go to court.

"H-Hey b-baby. You l-look comfortable." I said before getting frustrated. I frowned as I gently scooped Asher in my arms, rocking back and forth when he squirmed a little. "I-It's okay, A-Ashy. I-I've got y-you..." I paused for a second before saying, "M-Mommy's g-got you."

When I turned around to go upstairs, Zee was standing there with one of her huge smiles printed on her face. "That was so cute! Wait, you look upset, what's wrong?" I huffed and ran my fingers through my hair. "I-I can't s-say l-look but I-I c-can say comfortable. L-Look is s-such a-a simple w-word! Wh-Why can't I-I s-say it?!"

I felt tears build up in the corners of my eyes. Zee just frowned and took Asher, hugging the life out of me. "Hey, I know you get frustrated and I know it's one of your harder days, but it's okay, yeah? You have Asher, you have a huge home, a great job, and now a girlfriend. You have me and Mike, you'll be fine. Your stutter is what makes you, you." I nodded and took the clueless baby back and walked upstairs.

I heard Zee on the phone with someone while I was changing Ash into a new diaper. I took a deep breath before talking to him like I normally do, trying not to stutter too bad.

"H-Hey Asher, it's Mommy. Well, I mean, not your real mommy. She's, um, she's not alive anymore. I'm your b-big sister. B-But I'm gonna b-be your mommy," I choked out with tears in my eyes before whispering, "We'll b-be fine."

Zee knocked on the door, leaning against the frame. "I called Catt." I shook my head frantically after I layed Asher in his crib. "Why? Y-You didn't h-have to do that!" Zee just brushed me off and walked out.

When I got back downstairs, I was dressed in my penguin fuzzy socks, my penguin pj shorts, and a baggy black sweater. When I walked into the kitchen, Zee was leaning on the stove whilst Catt was sitting on the island. I pulled the sleeves over my hands causing the sweater the fall my shoulders just enough to make my collar bones visible.

"H-Hi Catt," I mumbled out bashfully. Catt turned around and smiled. "Hey, baby. I see you like penguins." I blushed a deep red colour.

I shuffled over to Catt and made my way inbetween her legs, laying my head on her chest. "M'tired, C-Catt." She chuckled and ran her fingers through my hair, the soothing feeling calming me.

"Why were you so upset, penguin? Zanyia said you were crying and almost had another attack." I huffed and snuggled deeper into her chest. "C-Couldn't talk n-normal." "What do you mean, baby?" I huffed, not wanting to talk about it.

I shook my head and grabbed her hands, trying to pull her down. "S-Sleepy." Zee laughed at Catt's confused face she mafe when I was using shortened sentences. "When she's tired, she tries not to talk as much. It hurts her voice." Catt nodded and rubbed my back.

"Okay, lets go sleep, penguin."
