Catt's POV

"We need to talk." she folded her thin arms over her chest and gave me a look that wrote suspicion all over her face. She can't possibly be mad at me, can she?

"About what?" I asked, walking toward the kitchen to get a drink. She followed close behind me and then leaned against the counter.

"J-Jesse. Is th-there s-something you w-wanna t-tell me?" Something flickered in those pale blue eyes. It was concern and then it quickly changed back to persistence.

I took in a deep breath and tried not to get angry. She was actually accusing me of cheating on her with Jesse?

I exhaled slowly and rubbed my fingertips harshly against my temples, my stress headache growing at a tremendous rate. I walked over to her slowly and placed my hands on either side of her, trapping her between myself and the counter. I looked her in the eyes and tried to make light of the obviously mistaken situation.

"My dearest, maybe you haven't noticed, but I'm as gay as they come." I gave her a smirk but she stared back at me with a blank expression. "Becca. You don't seriously think I was cheating on you with a guy do you?"She didn't respond for a second and then she let out a sigh.

"I r-really h-hope n-not." her expression softened and she looked like she was about to cry. At first, I was taken aback and quite frankly, offended. After everything I went through to make her happy, she thinks I would cheat on her.

"Becca. You wanna know what happened?" she nodded. "Okay," I backed away from her and leaned against the counter on the other side of the kitchen and took a deep breath. "So when we got home, I obviously went to the shower and after like 5 or 10 minutes after I was in there, Jesse walks in. At first, I thought it was you but when I realized it wasn't, I was too shocked to tell him to get out." I paused for a second because I literally saw her walls go up.

I walked back over to her and slid the pad of my thumb across her pale cheek. "Hey, nothing happened. I swear." She looked up into my eyes and nodded.

"I b-believe you, con-continue." I nodded and stayed in front of her.

"So he started going on about how he was in love with me." That was when the understanding look that was there not even a second before, turned into anger.

"I knew it! I knew he was gonna make a move on you! Kellin told me he wasn't like that but I had some serious doubts. I mean, he was flirting with you all day." She paced across the kitchen quickly and flailed her arms with her emotions." I was again taken aback by her lack of stutter.

I rushed to her side and pulled her into my chest, stroking the back of her hair.

"Hey, hey calm down. It's okay. I calmly told him that I wasn't gonna talk about it until I was out of the shower. When I got out, we went to the kitchen and I explained to him that 1. I am indeed a lesbian. 2. I set the whole day with them up for you. And 3. that-" I paused for a second, collecting all my courage and took a deep breath.

"That I love you."
