Okay guys I'm going to apologize in advance. This chapter is going to be really long and possibly confusing. I'm trying to work out al of the story changes so that I can work around Becca leaving. I already know what's going to go down so just bear with me.
---Jesse's POV
I lay awake in my dark room for the last time before we go on tour. All I could think about was Catt. I knew she was way younger than me but I couldn't get her out of my brain. All of a sudden there was a knocking on my door.
"Get up douchebag!" I knew automatically it was Kellin. I got up and ruffled my hair and put a tired look on my face.
I opened the door to see Kellin standing in his boxers, his hair messy and holding a phone out toward me.
I gave him a weird look and took the phone, holding it to my ear."Hello?" My voice was raspy from not talking for a good 3 hours.
"Jesse. Tell me what's going on with you and Catt now." My eyes flew open. This couldn't be who I thought... Right?"Who the hell is this?"
"It's Becca. The only person who truly cares about Catt. So don't mess with me Jesse. You may be older but I will kick your ass. Tell me right now what happened with you and Catt. I know you have something going on." She spoke quickly and without her stutter. It really caught me off guard but I when I realized what she was asking, I already had a master plan brewing.
A smirk pulled onto my face.
"Oh she didn't tell you what happened? My goodness, she's got you wrapped around her tiny little fingers.""W-what are you talking about Jesse?" Her voice shook and my smirk grew.
"She and I did have something going on. When you two started dating, she would come home to me and tell me all about how dumb you were for believing she could actually be in love with you. She's not shy or gay. She's known me since we were kids." I couldn't believe she was buying all of this. I was literally throwing lies into the wind.
I could hear her trying to hold in her sobs through the phone.
"Fuck you Jesse. This can't be true.""But you know it is my dear. I didn't think you would hold out this long. I guess my girl's a better actress than we thought."
She wasn't holding back the sobs now. I could hear her doubled over letting out long cries.
The small beep told me that she had hung up and I smiled to myself, feeling accomplished.Catt's POV
I stared into the hazel orbs that were Emily's eyes. They were no more than a couple centimeters away from my own. If it were possible, we were still moving at a steady pace closer and closer without our lips actually touching.
Without warning, the front door that stood hardly two feet away from the bench we were sitting on, swung open revealing Emily's mom.
"Em, did your pretty friend leave already? It's awfully quiet out here." Her accent wasn't as thick as Emily's but equally as pretty.
I jumped away from Emily and plastered a smile on my face.
"No, It's fine. I was just leaving. Thank you for all the advice Emily, I'll let you know how everything plays out and good luck with...?"
"Lucy." she finished and a sad look washed over her face but vanished as quickly as it had come. "Yeah. I'll let you know too." We both got up off the bench and hugged, exchanging 'good lucks'. I then gave her mom farewell look and made my way back across to my yard and into my house.
I walked through the front door and took a deep breath.
"I almost kissed Emily." I said quietly to myself.
I jumped violently when a figure emerged from the dark room.
"Oh is that the super cute Irish girl that moved next door? She's so sweet, dear." The figure attached to the familiar voice, turned on the living room light to reveal non other than my Aunt Jen. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail and her reading glasses pushed up the bridge of her nose.
A smile formed on my face. "Aunt Jen." She returned the smile and pulled me into her arms.
"I missed you Catnip." I smiled at the nickname she had given me when I was little and hugged her tightly.
"I missed you too."
After a few more seconds of embrace, she pulled back.
"Now tell me everything. I thought you were with that Becca girl, what's with all this Emily stuff?"
I took a deep breath and proceeded to tell her everything that had happened with Becca and Jesse and then what happened with Emily.
After 15 minutes of explaining, she sat back and exhaled.
"Wow Catnip, you've got yourself in a tight spot huh?" I nodded.
"I'm really tired. I've had a crazy day as you can see. I'm gonna take a shower and go to bed and handle all this tomorrow." I got out of the armchair and kissed her cheek. "Love you, Aunt Jen."
She reached up and stroked my hair. "Love you too, dear. I'm sure everything will be fine." I nodded back and walked down the hallway into the bathroom, removing my clothes and turning on the water. I watched the room fill with steam and then stepped into the tiled tub and into the stream of mildly scalding water.
I felt the day wash off me with layer upon layer of soap. I felt so dirty. By the time I got out of the shower, my skin was red from scrubbing and my scalp stung but I finally felt clean. I wrapped my body in a towel and walked into my bedroom and threw on a pair of underwear and a thin tank top with my BMTH hoodie and flopped into bed, exhausted.
As soon as my head hit the pillow, my eyes felt heavy and I drifted into a dreamless sleep.
---
So I feel much better that I fit two POV's into one chapter and still didn't make it freakishly long. Woohoo me! lol I hope you guys liked the crazy plot twist(s). There were quite a few. I think we will be okay with this change in authors. What do you guys think?
Anywhore, love you guys!
Stay Sweet!
