Catt's POV
I awoke to the loud shrill of my ringing phone. I looked at the clock on my nightstand and gaped.
3:17am
Who the hell is calling me at this time? I got up out of my soft warm bed and looked around for my phone in the dark. I saw the flashlight blinking across the room and I picked it up quickly not to miss the call.
"Hello?" My voice was raspy from sleep. I didn't get an answer. All I heard on the other line was crying. Horrible crying. A confused look came into my face and I took the phone away from my ear to check the caller ID.

The screen read: Becca xx followed by a picture of her with a wide grin on her face. I gaped again and hurriedly brought the phone back to my ear.
"Becca? What's wrong baby?" I asked, concern thick in my voice.
"I-I c-can't b-believe you wo-would do th-this t-to me!" She cried into the phone. Her stutter was worse when she cried and it broke my heart.
"Becca! I don't know what you're talking about! I'm coming over. Please calm do-"

"No! Y-you st-stay the f-fuck away fr-from m-me!" I thought my heart shatters when I heard her crying but that shattered all of me. She didn't want me? What did I do? I felt tears well up behind my eyes but I pushed them away and pressed End Call before she could resist me any further.

I didn't bother messing with my face or hair. I flicked on the light and threw on a pair of black leggings and my vans with my already on tank top and sweater. I grabbed my glasses and shoved them on my face along with my phone and keys and ran out the front door and into my car.

I sped well over the speed limit until I pulled into her driveway in a record time of 3 minutes.

I quickly turned the car off and ran up to the front door and turned the knob that was thankfully unlocked.

When I walked inside, my jaw dropped everything that was once all pretty and organized was now all over the floor. I walked into the kitchen looking for Becca and saw a bunch of broken glass on the floor. All the glass plates and cups were thrown onto the floor and shattered.

My worry grew more and I ran frantically through the house.

"Becca! Where are you?!" Every time, I got no response.

I ran up to her room but everything was in order. Her bed, perfectly made and floor vacuumed. I continued down the hallway. I passed Asher's room and the room that belonged to her late mother. It was then that I heard quiet sniffling coming from the very end of the hallway. The bathroom.

Images of all the scars that scattered her pale skin flashed in my mind rapidly and I became 10 times more worried than I was. I ran to the bathroom and attempted to open the door. Locked.
I knocked loudly and quickly.

"Becca! Becca open the door! Please baby let me in!"

"Go away! Get the fuck away! I never want to see you again!" Her voice was shaky but no stutter. She had a slight whimpering going on and it made my heart ache more than her words.

"Baby please let me in! You have to believe that nothing happened with me and Je-"

"I don't want your excuses! He told me everything! You don't have to play this little game with me anymore! I get it!" Jesse told her a load of bullshit. That dick!

"Becca! You have to believe me! Please. I love you so much baby! Don't believe that prick babe, please! You know me. You know me better than anyone." I continued banging on the door but the whimpering noises stopped all of a sudden. That scared me so much.

Out of nowhere, the door creaked open and I took in her appearance. Her eyes were red and puffy and makeup was smeared all over her face. My eyes raked over her and my heart dropped when I saw all the blood dripping from her arms and stained into her shirt.
My mouth fell open and tears started welling up behind my eyes.
I walked toward her slowly, careful not to make any sudden movements. When I got to her, she glared at me hatefully. I reached up and wiped a single tear that fell slowly down her cheek.

"Becca I'm so sorry that Jesse lied to you... I don't know what to say."

She moved her face away from my hand and spoke through gritted teeth.

"Don't say anything. Don't feed me anymore of this bullshit. We're done. Just leave." With that, I fell to my knees and let out every tear that I had been holding in.

She doesn't want me. She doesn't believe me. She looked down at me from where she was standing and gave me a disgusted look.

"Get out." Her voice was stern.
I got up slowly, careful not to loose my balance due to my shaking body. I reached my hand toward her and slid my thumb across her cheek but she pulled away quickly and pushed aside me and went into her bedroom, slamming the door behind her.

I felt the tears coming on again and trudged through her house. Through the hallway and down the stairs into the living room. I showed myself out the front door and into my car.

I grabbed my pack of cigarettes and lit one, inhaling the smoke deeply. A feeling of relief passed through me but my stomach was tied into knots and I had a pounding headache.

I could barely think straight. I needed to get this pain off my mind before I lose it completely. I started up my car and sped into the road and on the intersection. I pulled into a small parking lot with a sign that lit up and made my head hurt worse.

It read in big bright green letters
Silver Monkey Bar
I turned off the car and walked inside. There was loud music with bass that was way too high and bright neon lights flashing. I rubbed my temples harshly and sped up to the bar.

The guy behind the bar was tall and had dark hair pulled back into a short ponytail his face was really sculpted. He had a bold jawline and sharp features around his nose and lips. His eyes were brown and his lips big and pink.

"Hey Babygirl, can I get you something to drink?" His voice was deep and flirty.

"Gimme the strongest drink you have?" My voice was raspy and my throat hurt like hell from crying.

He gave me a nod and started pouring and mixing various liquids.

"Had a rough day?" He asked and placed a drink in front of me.

I chuckled lightly.
"I just need to forget." I said, taking a bug drink from my cup.
"To forget her."

He placed his hand on mine.
"I'll keep 'em coming aye babe?" I nodded quickly and swallowed hard. It was definitely strong but it felt so good. It burnt like hell going down my throat but it left a satisfying warm, fuzzy feeling in my chest.

I exhaled deeply in relief.
"Thank you."  He gave me a smile and placed another one in front of me.

One after the other, I slowly started forgetting her. And smiled.
