Chapter 12

SALVATORE SCHOOL-DAY
Mg's room
[Mg is walking out with towel wrapped around his hip.]
Mg: Hey. Oh, whoa, towel on.
Penelope: Please. 'Cause vampire or not, the last thing I want to see is your lost boy.
Caroline and Damon look at each other. Remembering when Damon walked in campus's dorm for Elena and saw Caroline with towel on.
Mg: Damn, Peez, you gotta stop lurking.
Penelope: It's time for a strategy sesh.
Mg: Nah, I listened to you all day, and the only thing your little tricks did was make the wrong girl look my way. I'm out.
"Smart decision." Said Marcel.
Penelope: This is a long con, Milton. Trust me. Lizzie's nemesis Dana liking you, oh, that's the puzzle piece you need to crack Lizzie's candy shell and get to her gooey center. Today was a total win for you.
Mg: You hate Lizzie. Why do you care? [Penelope gets close to Mg and whispers in his ear.]
Penelope: Some people just want to watch the world burn.
"I like her." Said Kol. Audrey nodded.
Lizzie and Josie's room
[Josie enters the room. Lizzie is covering her bruise.]
Josie: You mad at me?
Lizzie: No. I'm mad at the world, and you just happen to be in it.
Josie: Well, you're about to be. I did a little spell at the game. I made Kaleb drop the ball.
"She admitted." Said Hope to Audrey smugly. Audrey rolled her eyes.
Lizzie: Well, let's just call this what it is. You betrayed me.
"It's a bit dramatic." Said Caroline.
Josie: I was worried about disappointing Dad. So I disappointed you instead.
Lizzie: I'll forgive you, if you don't do it again.
Josie: I promise. I'm sorry.
Lizzie: It's okay. I mean, betrayal and all aside, you had my back today.
Josie: And you had mine. [Josie and Lizzie hug and lay down on bed.]
Caroline smiles at them, so does Stefan.
Josie: So, what are we gonna do about Dad?
Lizzie: More like what is he gonna do to us?
FOREST/ALARIC'S CAR-DAY
Hope: Are we not waiting for Alaric?
Audrey: He is grown man. I'm sure he can find his way back.
"You left him in woods?" Asked Elijah.
"He pissed me off." Said Audrey. Freya, Kol and Klaus look amused.
"You stole the car." Said Hayley.
"I wouldn't call it stealing. I borrowed it." Said Audrey.
"I don't remember you asking him." Said Hayley.
"I knew i was forgetting something." Said Audrey. Kol laughs. Klaus looks amused, too, but hides when he sees Elijah and Hayley's matching glares.
[Hope looks around.]
Hope: Where are they? [Audrey shurgs. Then they notice letter on car's window. Hope takes it. Audrey reads it behind her shoulder.]
Landon: Dear Hope, you strike me as the kind of person who's not so big on second chances, much less third, but I'm gonna give it a shot. I can't explain why I took that knife. Believe me, I wish I could.
"I think he is telling truth. I mean if Dragon's exist, why can it not be possible that knife somehow effected Landon." Said Hayley.
"And why did compulsion not work on him the?" Said Klaus. Hayley shruggs.
Landon: But maybe I can explain why I ran. I have never been welcomed anywhere in my life. I'm always the extra. The mouth they didn't want to feed. If I caused trouble, I was out. When you grow up like that, you learn how to protect yourself. You do what you have to do to survive. I never had a real family. And that's not meant to make you feel sorry for me. I'm trying to make you understand. I lied to protect myself, but in doing so, I hurt you. And for that, I will be forever sorry.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-LIZZIE AND JOSIE'S ROOM-NIGHT
[Alaric walks in Lizzie and Josie's room. Josie wakes up when Alaric opens the door.]
Josie: Dad... I can explain. [Alaric hugs Josie and Lizzie.]
Caroline smiles.
SALVATORE SCHOOL- HOPE'S ROOM-NIGHT
[Hope is sitting on her bed and reading Landon's letter.]
Landon: The time I spent with you the other night was one of the happiest moments in my life. I hate that I ruined it. Your school's secret is safe with me. With regret, Landon. [Hope looks at her family photo with teary eyes. Audrey gets up from her bed and hugs Hope. Hope burries her face in Audrey's neck.]
Audrey: Shhh... Everything is gonna be okay. Everything is gonna be okay.
Mikaelsons smile at them.
SALVATORE SCHOOL GATES-NIGHT
[Alaric is checking gates.]
Dorian: Trying to make a run for it? Alaric: (Chuckles) Yeah. I just noticed this gate wasn't locking the other day.
Dorian: You worried about people getting out?
Alaric: I'm worried about what might want to get in. We've gotten cozy here. Careless. I'd forgotten the world is full of nasty surprises. I don't know what the story is behind that knife, but whatever it is, I...(Exhales) ...saw something today I never thought I'd ever see in this lifetime. And it scared me. You know, I opened this school to protect these kids. To protect my daughters. How am I supposed to protect them from stuff that's not supposed to exist?
Caroline starts to get worried, too. So do others.
SALVATORE SCHOOL- HOPE AND AUDREY'S ROOM- NIGHT
[There is shower's voice, which indicates Hope might be in shower. Audrey is videochating with Kol.]
Kol: (shocked) So you slayed a dragon?
Audrey: Yep. I'm a dragon slayer now. Do you realise how lucky you are to have such an awesome nieces? [Kol chuckles.]
"Very." Said Kol. Hope and Audrye smile at him.
Kol: I'm still processing that dragons exist.
Audrey: Don't forget, you promised you won't tell anyone. Not even aunt D.
Kol: When have i broken a promise with you?
Audrey: Never. I'm just reminding you. You know how others are. They will start fussing over for nothing...
"It is not nothing. You could be seriously hurt and we don't know what else is there. That knife is clearly danger magnet." Said Freya.
"Whixh wasn't activated until Landon touched it. How interesting." Said Klaus and gave Hayley a look.
Audrey: So how is my favourite Mikaelson?
Kol: I'm okay.
Audrey: Keep dreaming, Uncle Kol. I meant my cute little cousin- Eli.
"His name is Eli? When you told us, You never mentioned name." Said Freya.
"You named him after uncle Elijah. I and almost everyone call him Eli." Said Audrey. Elijah looks surprised and honored.
"Thank you, sister." Said Elijah.
"You are welcome." Smiled Freya.
Kol: Ouch. That hurt. [Kol cleanched his chest dramatically.]
Kol: He is good, too. Since he started walking we can't stop him. He is always running off. [Audrey chuckles fondly.]
Audrey: I missed you all.
Kol: We missed you, too. You could visit.
"You say that every time i call." Said amused Audrey.
Audrey: Not now. The school and now dragon appeared. I'm interested and intrigued.
Kol: It's not a joke... it could be dangerous...
People look at Kol surprised.
"Kol being responsible? Now i have seen everything." Said Klaus.
"Fuck off." Said Kol. Audrey smiles at them fondly, remembering her childhood when she had online magic lessons with Kol and Klaus and Kol would start bickering.
Audrey: (interupts) Not you, too.
Kol: Okay, okay. Just tell me, if you need help.
Audrey: I will tell you everything as long as you won't tell others like i promised. And yes, if i need help, i'll ask you. [Kol smiled at her.]
Elijah looks jaelsous of the bond Kol and Audrey have, because he knows he wasn't this close to his nieces. All because of Hollow. oh, How he hates her.
Kol: Okay. It's late. Go to sleep.
Audrey: Okay. Love you.
Kol: Love you, too. Sweet dreams.
"I'll never get used to Kol being... soft." Said Marcel. Kol shows him middle finger.
Audrey: You, too.

Even Mikaelsons(except Hope) seem surprised how close bond Audrey and Kol has.
"We see who is the favourite uncle." Said Damon. Kol tears up.
"Kol, are you crying?" Asked amused Davina.
"No... Something fell in my eye." Said Kol. People laugh at him.
"Thank you." Said Klaus to Kol, which made laugher stop. Everyone looked at Klaus shocked.
"For what?" Asked Kol.
"For being there for her when i couldn't and taking care of her." Said Klaus. Kol doesn't know what to say and nods. Audrey smiles at the two of the most important men in her life.

Mikaelsons smile, So do Caroline and Stefan.
