Chapter 51

ALARIC'S VAN/STREET-NIGHT
[Alaric stops the van.]
Alaric: (sighs) Okay. So where is she?
Kaleb: You doubting my skills? There. [Woman(from tent) brings urn to Kaleb.]
"I knew it." Said Klaus.
Kaleb: Thank you. Oh, and you may want to lay low for a little bit, sweetie. You're welcome. [Alaric chuckles softly.]
Alaric: All right, let's go home. [Car stops behind them.]
Alaric: Wait a second. [Clarke comes out of car. So does other Men, who being out Emma and Dorian.]
"Shit. The have Dorian and Emma." Said Caroline.
Hope: (quietly) They have Dorian and Emma.
Alaric: Oh... (exhales shakily) All right.
[Alaric reaches his hand out. Kaleb gives him urn.]
Alaric: Sit tight. [Alaric gets out of Van.]
Clarke: I'm impressed. I almost hate to take it off you.
"He is so dramatic." Said Audrey.
"The pot calling the kettle black." Said Hope.
Clarke: My team found your... "wife" looking for Dorian. We thought the two of them would provide some nice leverage in case things went wrong. I think you know what to do to get them back. [Alaric gives him urn.]
Alaric: Let them go. [The man takes it.]
"Second key is opened, too." Sighed Hayley.
MAPLE HOLLOW-NIGHT
[Eveeyone is sitting in van. There is gloom mood.]
Hope: (to Lizzie) If you really thought that I said all those things about you, then you hating me all these years makes perfect sense. But with a father and a grandfather like mine, I'm probably not immune to those issues myself.
Klaus looks away.
Hope: I don't take it lightly and I would never make fun of you for it. [Audrey glares at Hope.]
Audrey: (interrupts angrily) First of all, Mikael isn't our grandfather, he wasn't even dad's father. He is just sperm donor of our aunts and uncles...
"Sperm donor." Laughed Kol.
Audrey: ...and to daddy he was abusive step-father, who drove dad into madness you are so afraid to get.
Klaus smiled and kisses Audrey's head. Audrey smiles back.
Audrey: Second of all, everyone in the supernatural world is fucked up, so why would you bring up dad? Alaric killed, too. So did Caroline. Our uncles and aunts did just as much horrible things as dad! Even Mum killed and tortured, too, even through for some reason everyone considers her angel. Like dad she did that for family, for revenge and even her own gain, for example, when she set up those wolves to get killed by dad, but i don't see you bringing her up!
Hayley looks down at that.
Audrey: (Scoffs) This is all Alaric's influence.
Alaric: What did i do now? I was quiet.
Audrey: (Glares at Alaric) You are the one who always compares her to worst version of dad when she does something you don't like. You planted that idea that if she steps out of line a little, then she is as bad as mass murderer.
Mikaelsons glared at Alaric.
Audrey: (To Hope) And third, i don't care why Lizzie did it. She hurted you and i'm not forgiving!
Hope: I never asked you to forgive her. I am forgiving her, because her hatred of me if understandable if she thought i was spreading those rumors. (To Lizzie) Which i didn't.
Lizzie: I believe you. [Audrey looks angry and jaelous.]
Caroline looks at Audrey warrily.
Hope: What I don't get is why anyone would accuse me of that. Who did you hear it from? [Lizzie looks at Josie. Hope and Audrey follow her gaze.]
"Wh-what?" Said Caroline.
Audrey: (scoffs) Of course. Another Saltzman.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-STORAGE -NIGHT
[Kaleb is drinking blood in storage.]
Alaric: Kaleb. [Kaleb turns around.]
Alaric: I wanted to thank you for today. And God knows what's coming next, but... you really showed me what you're made of. You had our back.
Kaleb: Then can I be real with you?
Alaric: Of course.
Kaleb: You know, whether it's Clarke or a monster, we all need access to our full powers. I mean, all I did today was compel a few people and I'm out of steam. (Sighs) I need real blood. The witches need offensive magic.
"That's what i'm saying. He should be teaching us to throw away our poers and play human. We aren't humans." Said Audrey.
Kaleb: I respect you. I respect what you're trying to do here. But times are different now, Dr. S. The rules should be, too.
"What time has to do with it? Vampire always needed blood and witches-offensive magic." Said Audrey.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-LIZZIE AND JOSIE'S DORM-NIGHT
[Lizzie is talking to Josie.]
Lizzie: Why would you drive a wedge between me and Hope? Why lie? [Hope and Audrey enter the dorm.]
Hope: We were gonna ask the same thing.
Josie: (exhales) I didn't just lie. I started the fire.
"She did what?!" Glared Klaus.
"But why?" Said Caroline.
Audrey: Excuse me?
Josie: Lizzie had made some remark... about me being obsessed with you. I just blurted out, "How could I be obsessed with somebody who would say such mean things about my twin?"
Hope: But I didn't.
Josie: I know. I just made it up.
"It's always the innocent ones." Said Kol.
"That's what i said." Said Audrey.
Hope: Why?
Josie: Because I didn't want Lizzie to know the truth. I had a crush on you. And I had slipped a note into your room that morning and... I don't know, I just really immediately regretted it but I couldn't get in by then. So I did a fire spell under your door. I was really only aiming for the note.
"And you though you could blindly hit letter? Or burning letter wouldn't cause fire?" Said Freya.
"She was a child. She didn't think that far." Said Hope.
Lizzie: Why would it matter that I knew?
Josie: Because my whole life, any time I've ever liked anyone, you go for them. And you always win.
Hope: (chuckles softly) You had a crush on me?
Hayley smiles.
"That's all you heard?" Said Klaus.
Josie: Of course I did. Who wouldn't?
Audrey: (laughs in disbelief) That's it? This is your reaction about all the things she did?!
Hope: She was a kid and made a mistake. It was an accident.
Audrey: Yes, fire was accident. The fact that you couldn't phsically spend time with daddy and because of Josie only painting you had with him got burned, along with your birthday present was accident. But you know what wasn't accident? She spreading rumors about her own sister's mental illness and blaming it on you! [Lizzie looks hurt by it.]
Caroline looks at Lizzie sadly.
Josie: I'm sorry. I-- [Audrey ignores her.]
Audrey: That wasn't an accident! Do you know what else wasn't accident? That you got bullied by Lizzie and she just stood there and watch it happen while knowing she caused that! She is hiding behind her sister, in the shadows with this innocent facade, but she is just as bad as Lizzie. [Josie looks like she might gonna cry.]
"You are overreacting." Said Caroline.
"Tell me that when you ask your sister about school and she starts crying in mid talk." Said Audrey. Mikaelsons look at Hope.
"I'm sorry. Why didn't you tell me?" Said Hayley.
"I didn't want to bother you. You were already doing so much and..." said Hope.
"And nothing. You could never bother me. If something like this happens, you should tell me." Said Hayley. Hope nods.
Lizzie: (warning) Audrey, i'm warning you... [Audrey ignores her, too.]
Audrey: No, actually, she is worse.  Because Lizzie at least can say it in your face while Josie works behind your back like a snake! I always said it's always the innocent ones. Well, would you look at that? I was right. Josie is descreption of that saying.
Josie: I didn't mean to hurt anyone... I...
Audrey: But you did! Hope desperatly wanted to be part of your stupid family because she couldn't be with us and you ruined it.
Hope: Audrey, stop this!
Audrey: Do you know how much Lizzie's words actually hurted her? You don't know, because you weren't there when she was crying about things Lizzie said to her. I was! [Lizzie and Josie look away guiltily.]
Hope: Audrey, You are overreacting!
Audrey: No, overreacting is burning someone's dorm because you don't want your crush to be revealed. This is perfect reaction. The reaction you should have had.
Kol agreed.
Hope: Audrey, come on! [Hope pulls Audrey out of room.]
SALVATORE SCHOOL-NIGHT
[Dorian and Emma are sitting in front of fire place.]
Emma: I can't believe we almost lost you.
Dorian: Hey. It's fine now. I'm okay. You're okay.
Emma: I'm sorry. For holding back. For not knowing how I felt about you, but... I know now.
Dorian: I've always known how I felt about you. [Dorian is about to kiss, but Emma pulls away.]
Emma: No. [Dorian looks at her confused.]
Emma: There's more. I didn't know because I was confused. (Sighs) I kissed Alaric.
"She told him." Said surprised Davina.
Emma: And it was days ago when that magical slug was in me, but that's no excuse.
Dorian: Are you saying you would have kissed him without it?
Emma: I'm saying I don't want to anymore.
Dorian: Are you sure?
Emma: I'm positive.
Dorian: Did Ric have a slug in his ear when he kissed you? [Emma doesn't answer.]
"He didn't know Dorian was the guy she was with." Defended Damon.
"No, but he knew she was with someone, so he shouldn't have done it. But you wouldn't understand that." Said Audrey.
[Dorian walks in hall. He sees Alaric.]
Alaric: Dorian... I'm so sorry for today.
[Dorian punches Alaric in face. Alaric grunts in pain.]
Dorian: I quit. [Dorian leaves.]
SALVATORE SCHOOL-HOPE AND AUDREY'S DORM-NIGHT
[Hope drags Audrey in room.]
Hope: I can't believe you...
Audrey: No, i can't belive you! How can you just close your eyes at everything?! How can you not be angry?! What? She had crush on you and it makes everything she did okay?
Hope: She was a kid!
Audrey: So were you! So were you and no one wanted to be friends with a girl who was hated by headmaster's daughters. You were kid, too and you had to endure Lizzie's mean and rude comments. You were kid, too and you had to deal with not being able to be with your family along with school problems. And Josie isn't a kid anymore. She could put stop to all this whenever she wanted, but no, Instead of taking resposiblity, she played innocent girl and fooled both you and her sister.
Hope: I know Josie. She didn't tell, because she was scared of Lizzie's and my reaction. She didn't have bad intentions.
"You would also say she would never spread rumors if i asked..." Pointed out Kol.
[Audrey lays on bed with sigh.]
Audrey: I'm so tired of this, Hope.
Hope: Of what? [Audrey sits up]
Audrey: Of this! Of you always being on their side! It isn't really about Josie, okay? It is about you and me! It's about us! I'm protecting you when Alaric gets out of line and starts being disrespectful to you, i'm defending you when Lizzie makes her stupid comments and i defended you now, that we found out you and Lizzie got manipulated against each other by Josie. I'm on your side, Hope. Always and Forver, but you? You are always on their side and in the end, i come out as bad guy. I'm the bad guy for standing up for my sister and I'm so so tired of that, Hope.
Mikaelsons look at twins worried.
Hope: I didn't ask you to do that!
Audrey: You didn't have to! I am your sister! [Audrey gets up to leave.]
Audrey: I wish you were mine, too.
Hope: What does that mean? [Audrey turns around.]
Audrey: You tell me, Hope. You always choose them over me and not only me, but our family, too. You let them trash talk about our family and never speak up against it. You aren't Hope Mikaelson anymore, you are Hope Saltzman.
"No, no, don't fight." Said Hayley.
Hope: That's... that's not true...
Audrey: Oh, really? When was the last time you called our aunts or uncles? [Hope opens her mouth, but Audrey interrupts.]
Audrey: The time you were under slugs' influence doesn't count. [Hope is silent.]
Mikaelsons look hurt by it.
Audrey: (scoffs) Yeah, i thought so.
You want truth, Hope? This is truth. For a while now i feel like only people that are on my side in this damn school are Jed and Lela and sometimes my pack's other members, but not you. I-- I feel like i'm losing you, Hope and it-- it hurts. I don't want to lose you, Hope.
Mikaelson hate seeing their littlest members fight.
[Hope looks sad by Audrey's confession.]
Hope: You will never lose me, Drey.
Audrey: Really? Because it doesn't feel like that.
Hope: You are my sister, my twin, my another half. I'll always be with you. Always and Forver.
Elijah smiles at that, along with others.
Audrey: Tomorrow morning i'm going to New Orleans. I promised aunt Bex i would bring you, but i'm done trying, Hope. You want to come? Come. Not? Then stay with your new family. [Audrey leaves the dorm.]
"I hate seeing you fight." Said Hayley.
TRIAD BUILDING-MALIVORE MONITORING ROOM-NIGHT
[Man, who is sitting at monitors, looks at urn Clarke is holding.]
Man: Looks like a piece of junk to me.
Clarke: A rose by any other name.
Man: (Chuckles) You'd better hustle. Mrs. G. wants that in the vault ASAP.
Clarke: She's the boss. [Man stands up and turns around. Clarke shoots him and steps over him. He opens door wjth card and enters the room Malivore is in. Then he throws urn in Malivore. Malivore lights up.]
"Only third one is left." Said Damon. Everyone is worried because of it.
Clarke: Not long now.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-MILL-NIGHT
[Audrey is talking to Kol, while drinking burbon from bottle. She has her camera turned off.]
"You shouldn't be drinking!" Said Hayley.
"I shouldn't be saving the world either, but here we are." Said Audrey.
Kol: So the urn is lost.
Audrey: Yes. It's probably already in Malivore.
Kol: Something else is bothering you.
Audrey: It's nothing. [Kol gives her a look.]
"Sometimes i hate how good you know me." Said Audrey.
Audrey: Me and Hope had a fight. I'll be in New Orleans tomorrow. I don't know what Hope will do.
Kol: What did you fight about?
Audrey: Mostly Saltzmans. Don't worry about it.
Kol: If you want to talk about it...
Audrey: Then i would call Rebekah, who is specialist in sibling fights, but i don't. Can we talk about something else?!
"Sorry. I was rude." Said Audrey.
"It's okay. You had hard day." Said Kol.
"Still. I shouldn't have talked to you like that. Excpecially when you are just trying to help." Said Audrey.
