Chapter 41

KALEB'S DREAM-11P.M.
[Kaleb is tyed up and forced to watch anti vampire movie.]
Narrator: (over video) Vampires are bad. Vampires are evil. Vampires are the scourge of the Earth. Vampires are bad. Vampires are evil. Vampires are the scourge of the Earth. Vampires are bad... [Kaleb looks scared.]
"This is horrible." Frowned Caroline. Everyone agreed.
"It's a nightmare. It's supposed to be horrible." Said Damon.
Narrator: Vampires are evil. [Kaleb tries to get out without success.]
JED'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Audrey is glaring at Jed.]
Audrey: You are just a burden. You are so pathetic, i don't want to even look at you!
"I wouod never say that. He knows that, right?" Frowned Audrey.
"Of course he does. It just seems like his fear is rejection." Said Hope. Audrey nodded.
Jed: Wh--what?
Audrey: Your father was right. You are weak and useless! I don't want you in my pack!
Klaus looks at Jed empathetically.
[Audrey turns around and starts leaving. Jed grabs her hand.]
Jed: No, no. Audrey! Don't leave me! You said we were family!
Audrey: I just felt sorry for you. Did you really think someone would really want you? You are no one, Jed. [Audrey leaves. Jed is left alone in dark room.]
"When we get out of here, i' hugging Jed." Announced Audrey.
Jed: This is a dream. It's not real. [Jed starts haking his head.]
Jed: It's not real!
RAFAEL'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Rafael is in forest, chaining himself on tree. His bones start cracking and he scream in pain.]
"His fear is turning?" Asked surprised Audrey.
"Well, it's painful." Said Caroline, remembering when she helped Tyler turn.
LELA'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Lela is dressed as a boy and she is brought to remedial camp by her parents. She tries to leave, but her father stops her.]
Lela's father: Luke, stop it!
"That's not her name!" Yelled Hope and Audrey.
Lela: My name is Lela!
Lela's mother: Don't start this nonsense again! We brought you here to fix you.
"She doesn't need to be fixed. She's already perfect." Said Hope. Hayley, Freya and Davina look at Hope at that.
Lela: I don't need to be fixed!
Lela's father: You are  boy! And you need to start acting like one!!
Lela: No, no. This isn't real. This is a dream. You... aren't real. Not anymore. [Lela tries to get away from her father's grip.]
"What does not anymore mean?" Asked Hayley.
"Lela's father and Lela had an argument. He slapped her and she pushed him back with instict. He fell doen the stairs and broke the neck." Said Audrey.
"So she's living with her mother?" Frowned Freya, not liking Lela's mother.
"No. Lela left the house and went to her aunt from father's side. Unlike Lela's parents she is really good woman." Said Hope. Audrey agreed.
MG'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Mg is making out with girl. Suddenly, he turns into ripper mode and bites the girl.]
Stefan looks at MG empathetically.
RAFAEL'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Rafael is breaking bones. Audrey shows up and touches his chest.]
Audrey: Raf. Hey. Hey. It's okay. I'm here now.
"Can he stop having dream about my niece?" Complained Kol.
"He will. When we get out of here." Glared Klaus.
"You aren't killing him!" Said Hope and Audrey.
Rafael: Get away, get away, get away.
Audrey: Hey, it's okay. You can't hurt me. [Audrey touches his face.]
Audrey: It's okay.
Rafael: I'm not afraid of hurting you.
Audrey: I want to be with you. Don't you want that, too?
Mikaelson men glare at Rafael.
LANDON'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Landon is in empty class room.]
Landon: I guess I already lived through my nightmare. So screw you and your stupid test, because none of this is real!
[Walls start getting closer.]
"Claustrophobia." Realised Marcel.
Landon: (scared) No, no, no!
AUDREY'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Audrey sees Hope bleeding out and runs to her.]
"It's my dream. Don't worry." Said Audrey to Mikaelsons before they would freak out.
Audrey: Hope! [Audrey bites her hand and pushes to Hope's mouth, but it's too late. Hope's dead. Audrey looks shocked, she looks away from Hope's corpse just to see she is surrounded by her family's (Kol, Freya, Rebekah, Marcel, Eli, Keelin), her best friends (Jed and Lela) and her whole pack's corpses. Audrey starts shaking and tears are streaming down her face.]
People look at Audrey with sympathy and pity. Audrey hides her face into Klaus's chest to avoid the looks.
Audrey: (sobbing) Noooo! No! No! No! This is a dream! This is all just a dream. No!
MG'S DREAM-NIGHT
[The place is filled with dead body. Girl ,who Mg was kissing with, falls without her head.]
MG: I-I didn't. I wasn't feeding. I-I swore off that.
Stefan looks at boy emapthetically again.
Oneiroi: It's who you are. Look around.
KALEB'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Kaleb is still struggling in his chair.]
Oneiroi: (Echoing) You defend your kind, yet still fear you are wrong. You are nothing. Nothing!
"That's Alaric's teaching's faukt and you can't change my mind!" Said Audrey.
AUDREY'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Lela's parents are dragging Lela to camp.]
Oneiroi: (echoing)  You are saying you are proud girl, that you were just born with wrong sex. But you wonder if you are a sinner and your parents were right all along!
"They weren't. Lela is a girl." Glared Hope and Audrey.
LANDON'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Walls keep getting closer and Landon is trying to stop it by pushing.]
Oneiroi: (Echoing) Small spaces, Landon. Getting smaller.
JED'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Jed is alone. In dark room.]
Oneiroi: You are all alone. No one wants you. Your father was right all along. You are pathetic! You don't deserve to be part of pack! That's why Audrey will leave you, too!
People glared at Oneiroy. Klaus who has same fear of abandonment and rejection looks at Jed empathetically.
[Jed attacks Oneiroi.]
MG'S DREAMS-NIGHT
[MG is looking at corpses.]
Oneiroi: (echoing) This... is all... you.
MG: Fine. So be it. [MG attacks Oneiroi.]
RAFAEL'S DREAM-NIGHT
Rafael: (to Audrey) Real you would never do this. This isn't real. You're not real!
Oneiroi: But you wish it was. [Rafael attacks Oneiroi.]
AUDREY'S DREAM-NIGHT
[Audrey is trying to stop shaking and calm down, but she can't, because everywhere she looks she sees her dead loved ones and despite the fact she know it's a dream, it is affecting her.]
Hope holds Audrey's hand. Audrey smiles at her.
Oneiroi: You are always too late. Too powerless. Too weak. That's why you will always be left alone. You'll never be able to protect people you love, because you are just not strong enough.
"That's not true. You are very strong." Said Klaus.
"Then why did you die? Twice." Said Audrey.
"It wasn't your fault. You were just fiveteen and as you said Inadu was much older than even me and she was experienced, powerful witch. It was neither your or Hope's fault." Said Klaus.
"And neither was my death. You couldn't have known Roman was lying or what would happen. It was our choice to sacrifise orselves and it was neither of your faults." Said Hayley.
Audrey: (yells) SHUT UP! [Audrey jumps at Oneiroi.]
KALEB'S DREAM-NIGHT
Oneiroi: You know how to make your suffering stop.
Kaleb: You're damn straight I do.
LANDON'S DREAM-NIGHT
Oneiroi: You know what you need to do to end this. Bring me the urn.
Landon: You can drop the act. Show me your face. [Oneiror shows him the night hag face.]
Landon: Your real face. [Oneiroi takes off night had skin.]
Oneiroi: You know where it is.
Landon: Yeah. I know where it is. You want the urn so bad? Let's go get it. [Landon stops pushing the wall and suddenly, they get out of dream.]
SALVATORE SCHOOL-GYM-NIGHT
[Everyone gasps awake.]
People look relieved they all woke up.
"So what happened with Oneiroi. Did you defeat it?" Asked Stefan.
"Not yet." Answered Audrey.
Landon: Hope?
Audrey: Hope!
MG: Are we alive, dude? Did we win?
Lela: Hey, is everybody okay?
Kaleb: You see any dead dream demons laying around?
SALVATORE SCHOOL-NIGHT
[Oneiroi walks in corridor. She gets to one of the paintings and rips it off. There is Mikaelson safe under the painting.]
"Please tell me it's not where urn is." Said Davina.
[Oneiroi opens the safe and sees it's empty.]
People look releived.
Hope: Did I tell Landon the wrong hiding place for the urn? Oops. [Hope and Oneiroi attack. Audrey appears and joins Hope and Oneiroi in fight.]
"How are you there?" Asked Marcel.
"I wanted to see my sister as soon as possible." Said Audrey.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-GYM-NIGHT
[Everyone is shaken by the dream. Audrey is not in Gym.]
Landon: I grabbed the monster, like MG said, but I-I don't know if it worked.
Jed: Where is Audrey?
"Everyone was pretty shaken, so they didn't notice i went out to look for Hope." Explained Audrey.
Rafael: She was in my dream, and then, I don't know, she was gone. [There is sound of crashing.]
Lela: What's that?
Jed: Wait. Wh-What was Audrey doing in your dream?
"Protective brother mode actovated." Joked Hope.
Rafael: The usual, just being a badass. [Audrey and Hope kick the Oneiroi in together.]
Rafael: Pretty much like that.
Audrey: Stay back!
Hope: We got this. [Hope jumps at Oneiroi. Audrey takes out her hairpin, which turns into a sword and throws it to Hope, who is on top of Oneiroi.]
"Oh my god! What's that?" Asked Caroline.
"The sword obviously. Uncle Kol gave it to me on my sixteenth birthday." Said Audrey.
"I'm such a cool uncle." Said Kol.
Audrey: Hope! Eyes! [Hope stabs Oneiroi first in one eye, then another.]
"How did you know?" Asked Freya.
"Uncle Kol texted me before we went into dream. Hope knew it as well." Said Audrey.
Kaleb: Landon was right. Sexy as hell.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-MILL -NIGHT
[Landon is sitting with guitar. Mg and Kaleb are there, too.]
MG: (laughing) Yo. That's one more monster down. You two are now officially part of the Super Squad.
Dope. (Laughs) You made it.
"He is so adorable." Said Davina.
MG: Are you ready?
Kaleb: What? [MG starts beatboxing. Landon start playing on guitar.]
Kaleb: Oh, here we go. Yeah. He said it. Super Squad. No one realer. Never dreamed I'd be the one to be a dream killer. It's like Salvatore's School meets "Thriller." It tried to creep up on me, but it was sleeping on me. Couldn't touch it, couldn't put my hand on. And MG is the homie I can land on. Mikaelson twins, I'm-a always take a chance on. They killed a demon, and I just killed the damn song.
Hope and Audrey chuckle. So do others.
"I like it." Said Audrey.
MG: (laughs) What? No, that's crazy.
Kaleb: Yeah, yeah, yeah. (To landon) Yo, that's nuts. Hey, man, you can play.
MG: That was clean. That was clean.
Kaleb: (to Landon) Okay, so when did you start playing the guitar? [Hope passes by dorm and Landon notices and runs after her.]
Landon: One second.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-AUDREY AND HOPE'S DORM-NIGHT
[Audrey calls funcle💞]
Audrey: Hey.
Kol: Hey. Are you okay? You sound...
Audrey: I'm fine. [Kol gives her a look. Audrey sighs.]
Audrey: I just had a hard day. We defeated Oneiroi, but to do that we had to go to sleep...
Kol: What did she make you see? [Audrey hesistates.]
Audrey: Your corpses. All of you.
"Thank you. I'm glad she has you." Said Hayley gratefully.
"Of course. I'm her uncle." Said Kol, clearly already fond of her. Audrey smiles at him.
Kol: (sadly) I'm so sorry, Michief. I know you are gonna reject it, but if you change your mind, you can always come to New Orleans. I don't like that you and Hope are always in danger.
Audrey: I know, but i'm not leaving and you can't make me.
Kol: You know, Davina gets curious why i am suddenly obsessed with mythology.
"Who wouldn't if their husband started searching up mythology creatures in some old books all day long." Said Davina.
Audrey: Tell her it's just your new hobby.
Kol: (sighs) Just be careful.
Audrey: I am. That's why i'm letting you help. Okay, bye. I want to call others, too.
Kol: Okay. Good night.
Audrey: You, too. [Audrey hangs up the call. Then she calls Aunt Rapunzel🥰.]
Audrey: Hi, Aunt Freya
"Rapunzel?" Raised her eyebrow Freya.
"Blond hair? Check. Evil witch kidnapping you for power? Check. Keeping you isolated? Check. Check. Check." Said Audrey. Freya chuckles.
Freya: Hello, Audrey
SALVATORE SCHOOL-NIGHT
[Hope is sitting on floor in front of fireplace. Landon approaches her and sits next to her.]
Landon: Hope. Hey.
Hope: Hi.
Landon: So I have this whole thing I need to say. Is it cool if I say it?
Hope: Yeah.
Landon: I've spent most of my life afraid... and unsure. I mean, even when you guys brought me back here, it didn't get better, it got worse, because now I actually had something to lose. And it didn't help that it felt like you were avoiding me, keeping things from me. And then I fought a dream demon. A creature who exists literally to make me live out my worst fears, and I thought, "What have I been so afraid of?" I like you and if you don't want to be with me that's okay, 'Cause I'm gonna work much harder.
Mikaelson men glare at Landon.
"Who does he think he is?!" Glared Klaus.
Landon: If you need to lie to keep dream demons from getting their claws on the urn, lie. If you need to keep secrets because you're burdened with all the responsibilities no one else can handle, all right then, keep your secrets. It is my job to bust my ass until you see me as someone to confide in. I'm not gonna be afraid of losing you anymore, Hope. 'Cause I'm gonna be the guy who always fights to find you again.
"Aww. Romantic." Said Hayley.
Landon: Sorry. I'm done. [Hope kisses Landon.]
Landon: Does this mean you are gonna be my girlfriend?
Hope: (smiling) Yes. Yes, it does.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-MILL- NIGHT
[Mill is empty. Only things there are are few blankets, three microphones, one Laptop and bottles of alcohol.]
Jed: How did you get so much alcohol so fast?
Audrey: That's for me to know and for you to wonder. [Audrey winks. Jed chuckles.]
"Audrey." said Hayley in mom tone.
"What? I had supply if i decided to make a party." Said Audrey.
MG: Isn't it little late? We have school tomorrow and...
Audrey: I don't know about you, but after today, i can't sleep this night. [Kaleb agreed.]
Lela: Won't Hope be joining us?
Audrey: I texted her. She said she would come.
SALVATORE SCHOOL-ALARIC'S OFFICE-NIGHT
[Hope knocks on door and enters the room.]
Hope: What happened?
Alaric: Tweaked my body driving it into a tree, and I think I have a concussion.
"Shouldn't he be with doctor then?!" Said Caroline.
Hope: Well, I hope you weren't planning on going to sleep anytime soon. [Hope places urn on desk.]
Alaric: Where did you end up hiding that? In my dream you have a safe tucked away under the floorboards in your closet.
Hope: You know, I couldn't fully decide on a new hiding spot, so I just stashed it under my pillow. [They chuckle.]
"Really, Hope? Under a pillow?" Said Audrey in disbelief.
"It worked." Defended Hope.
Hope: Go figure.
Alaric: Well, you were all very smart today, while I fell asleep on the job.
Hope: You drove halfway across the country in three days, cut yourself some slack. We need a new plan. We can't have 80% of the students living at the Lockwood Mansion.
Alaric: Well, I'm sure we'll think of something.

[At the party there is only super squad. Lela, Jed, Audrey, Hope, Rafael, Landon, MG and Kaleb. All of them are kind of tipsy. Audrey, Lela and Jed are singing Audrey's song (in reality, Chandler Kinney) "We Own The Night"]

[Kaleb, who seems to be drunk, get up and picks the song on laptop and starts singing

[Landon and Mg laugh. Wolves glare at them.]
Everyone laughs except werewolves.
"Arsehole." Murmured Audrey.

Jed: I'll show him mongrel! [Jed and Audrey get up to attack Kaleb, but Hope and Lela stop them. While Audrey is fighing against Hope's grip, Lela whispers something to Jed. Jed smirks and takes the microphone from Kaleb, pushes him on floor and starts singing. Lela goes to laptop and changes song to Bee gees "staying alive" .]
Jed: Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

[Kaleb glares at Jed. Tension grows, so Hope stands up to stop them.]
Hope: Hey! Hey! Let's calm down. Audrey, Change the song! Something that's not used as mocking!
"Always the responsible." Said Audrey.
Audrey: (smirks) Only if you sing with me.
Hope: Fine. [Audrey turns Sia's "Unstoppable.]
Audrey: I'll smile, I know what it takes to fool this town

[Clarke knocks on door. Woman opens it. She is holding a child.]
Clarke: Hello, uh, Mrs. Maria Gonzales?
"Triad guy." Freya Remembered.
Maria: Mm-hmm.
Clarke: I'm with Child Protective Services. [Maria places child down. He runs.]
Maria: Hector! [Hector approaches.]
Hector:  How can we help you?
Clarke: I have a few questions for one of your older foster children, if he's around.
Hector: No, sorry. Rafael was lucky to be adopted by a wonderful family in Virginia.
Clarke: Actually, I'm here to speak with Landon Kirby. Uh, we've discovered some troubling information about his birth parents.
"So triad wants Landon now. Interesting." Said Marcel.
Maria: Landon was also lucky to be adopted by a wonderful family in Virginia.
Clarke: I see. Our records indicate that you're still receiving subsidy checks for both those boys. If they're no longer in your care, that's a felony. Well, two felonies, each. But I might be able to hold off on reporting that accounting error if there's more you could tell me about Landon Kirby's whereabouts.
Hector: No, sorry. He was lucky to be adopted by a wonderful family in... Virginia.
"They are compelled." Said Elijah.
Clarke: I see. You've said all you're able to say, literally. In that case, would you happen to have any of this young man's belongings? A journal, a letter, or a photograph?
Hector: Why don't you come inside?
Clarke: (Laughs softly) Delighted.
