THE INTENSITY

I went to my no-correction bedroom and the first thing I did was plug my phone into the charger, Knowing that she was safe definitely calmed something inside me but yet I had this urge to talk to her by myself without wasting much time I went towards the closet and grabbed something comfortable, after taking a relaxing shower when I came out my phone was charged I decide to call inaya but then again she said she have things to handle but a call will not take much time nah, what if I disturb her in between of something important. I was busy in my thoughts while drying my hair. Everyone must be waiting for me at the dining table, I think i should have dinner and then call her. Yeah, this seems nice. 

  Vedansh went down and as expected his whole family was present on the dining table waiting for him. Prateek was continuously staring at him with hesitation in his eyes, a lot of courage took him to ask if Vedansh had finalised the design and outlet of the resort or not. "Yeah everything is finalised and now I want you to visit the site the day after tomorrow:" this was what he got in reply that made him curse his fate for getting this in return just for asking a simple question.

Soon after dinner vedansh came to their room, went towards the balcony and decided to call his wife.

I had been working non-stop since morning and now it was afternoon in New York, standing near a big glass window that was giving me the best mesmerizing view of the city i was thinking about today's deal when my phone rang interrupting my thoughts. It was my husband I answered the call and his deep husky manly voice reached my ears ''hello" something in his voice made goosebumps appear all over my body. "Hi" I replied and there was silence for a few seconds and then he asked "Are you fine?" without thinking much I replied "Yeah I am" again there was silence but not the awkward one. "When are you coming back? '' he asked. Maybe the day after tomorrow I would reply. "Okay, be safe" and there was a different kind of intensity in his voice. I disconnected the call with hmm. Did he call me to know how I am?

The next morning rajputs were sitting in the living room except Vedansh and Prateek. Suddenly they saw Prateek running towards them with his phone in his hand his mom got worried and started asking if he was fine and what happened without answering a single question he rushed and switched on the television he shuffled to the news channels and there it was

Headlines were flashing through the television screen, "she got the best deal for our county" Prateek exclaimed with his voice filled with enthusiasm "Indeed" responded his uncle aka father-in-law of Inaya. At the same movement, Vedansh entered the living room all dressed up in formal attire, he saw the news displayed on television and right now all he felt was pride, he was proud to be the husband of Inaya Pratap. ''Bhai sa, don't you think we should celebrate this" asked Prateek's dad "Yeah we should'' replied his bhai sa. Till now everyone had not noticed Vedansh "No we should not'' a sharp deep female voice echoed in the living room and there she was, the most powerful woman herself standing at the door, Inaya.

She came near Vedansh and that was the movement he noticed. Inaya went towards the elder and took their blessings "But beta you have got such a big deal" her father-in-law said trying to figure out the reason behind her decision "jit ka jashan wo mandate hai jinhe har se dar lagta ho, wo nahi jinhe apni jeet par yakin ho" inaya said and her town reflects strength and authority. Vedansh can not describe how he is feeling right now this woman does not leave a single chance to shock him and the influence that she has on his mind and soul is getting stronger day by day.

"Inaya but we can at least celebrate it just with your nanu and diya." Her mother-in-law said "Definitely we can, tomorrow is Shiv Ratri we can have pooja and all desi food after that, hope the celebration idea is good?" she answered "Their celebration idea is just perfect" Vedansh Chachi said looking at her with admiration. Definitely, Inaya was the best CEO but she knew the importance of culture and carried her profession with culture at a smooth balance. "Sorry bhabhi, I will not be able to be part of the celebration, I was commanded to go to the site visit," Prateek said with side glaring at his elder brother. "You can go to the side after two days" Finally vedansh said something.

Everyone left the room and now I was alone with Vedansh "You said you would be coming tomorrow" he asked "Yeah but yesterday I came to know that everything is settled there so i thought to come back today" I replied he hummed and we went towards the dining table. Everyone was already seated. We were moving towards the table when my phone rang and Diya's name was displayed on my phone screen. I stopped on my way to answer the call and what she said from another side left me shocked. The blood inside my body started to get cold.
