I slumped on the concrete floor for God knows how long. I hate the smell of where I am. I am inside the cell with a bunch of drunks I don't know. I don't know what is that brown streak on the wall and for how long has it been there. I can't even describe what that smell is and where is it coming from. My cell-mates are eyeing me as if they are choosing which of my clothes are they gonna tear from me first.

I sighed. What have I gotten myself into?

"Llamanzares, labas na."

I straightened my shoulder and walked out of the goddamned cell. I saw Hera talking to the police officer. My coat is still on her which I silently thanked for because the eyes of the men in the place are all over her.

"Pinaliwanag ng babae na niligtas mo na wala kang kinalaman sa mga nanggugulo. You are cleared of any charges so, just charge this to experience." Paliwanag nito sa akin.

I was in a foul mood I just nodded and went to my car. I desperately wanted to remove my shirt now because whatever was in that place stuck to me by now. What I would give to be under the shower at this very moment.

I glanced at Hera when she started driving out of the place. She was biting her lip as if she was stopping herself from something.

"What is it?" I said in a deep and serious voice.

A smile formed on her lips. A genuine smile. Then she bursted out laughing. It's like having an epiphany right before my eyes. Her eyes were full of mirth as she laughed. I was right. Her eyes get smaller when she laughs. It's like everything around me stopped or went slo-mo like that weird effect they put on K-dramas to make the scene magical.

"I can't believe this. The Enteng Llamanzares in jail." She even shook her head while laughing. "Imagine my shock to find you in a police mobile." She sighed as if she had gotten tired of all the laughing she made. She wiped her eyes off the tears.

Her laugh died down when she noticed I wasn't my merry self. I would have laughed this fucking experience off but I was enjoying this once-in-a-lifetime experience of watching Hera Marquez laugh. It may be out of my expense or my miserable life but I think it was worth it.

She cleared her throat and tried to regain her composure. "Sorry. I shouldn't have laughed like that."

"It's okay. You got me out."

"Of course. I'm a lawyer, remember."

"Good thing I have a lawyer with me then. A beautiful and sexy one at that."

With my remark, she had her cold mask back on until we got to Versailles. She dropped herself off at the hotel. All the guests were gone by now so the lobby was quiet.

"Thanks for the burger and the three VIP clients."

"You're welcome."

She nodded awkwardly. "Have a good night."

"You too." I gestured to the elevator for her to get in already when I remembered something. I called her name and she turned toward me again. "You should laugh more, Hera. It suits your lips and eyes to have some happiness in them."

"I can't promise that." She gave me another wave before going back to my car. I drove to my house wanting that shower so badly when I noticed the dress she discarded a while ago. I carried it with me inside and placed it on the coffee table. I'll just return it to her next time or to Marceline.

Despite the series of unfortunate events tonight, I can't help but smile under the shower while scrubbing the remnants of the jail I was in.
