The restaurant was bustling because it was a Friday night. Hilda recommended this to me when I asked her for a place where I could take Hera out on a date. I had a reservation for us to make sure we secure a spot. The food was a fusion of Asian cuisines and I am excited for Hera to try it out. I also read the place is a go-to for dates so I can get pointers for Hera too.

The restaurant had that old orange brick wall will big iron-framed windows and small flowers hanging from aerial plants. The music being played was classical and the lights were dimmed to complete the mood. We both ordered pasta dishes and home-blend iced tea because Hera doesn't drink wine and I may have started evading alcohol for her too.

"Lots of people on dates tonight," she said her eyes roaming around the place. We are surrounded by couples.

"It's a good place to observe, actually." I tipped my chin towards the couple on her right. "Look at how she looks at his date. She's definitely lovestruck." We watched as the woman giggled at what the man said.

"Do I have to laugh like that?" She winced. One thing I noted about Hera is that she's not that showy about her feelings. Hindi ito malambing. Hindi ko alam kung sa akin lang ba o malambing naman ito sa mga magulang.

"Some guys want to see the effect of what we say to women. If we complement you, you can smile if you like it. Some even bat their eyelashes for the complete effect."

She sighed. "I don't think I can do that."

"Let's try it." I cleared my throat. I touched her hand on the table and kissed the skin on her wrist. "You look beautiful tonight, Hera." I leaned closer to her and she did too. "But you look more beautiful on my bed, naked, skin flushed, and your hair a mess just like how you look after I fuck the hell out of you."

Her cheeks bloomed with colour and her eyes blinked fast. She bit her lip to fight the grin that was starting to form on her sensual lips.

"See? You can do it." I say as I tipped her chin.

"Okay, maybe I can..."

I pointed out a couple more women she could watch to get pointers from on how to be a snatched woman on a date. I told her a few more observations that she could use on her future dates. Future dates I don't want to imagine because somehow, the green monster seemed to feed off from it.

The restaurant was so busy we had to follow up with our order. The panicked server gave us two plates and two glasses of iced tea. Since the food was fusion and we didn't know what foods were combined we didn't know what to expect on our plates. I nodded when I tasted mine. It might be an acquired taste but it isn't as bad as I expected it to be. I looked at Hera as she took her first bite and after a few chews, she spits her food on a tissue and her face flames up. She also started fanning her face and her eyes started to get teary.

"What is happening?"

"It's so spicy! Argh!" She downed her iced tea in a few gulps and got my glass too to help relieve her sore tongue. "Even this iced tea tastes weird." She stands up. "I'm just going to the bathroom."

I got both of our glasses and sniffed it. There's no mistake that there is alcohol in it. I raised my hand to call the server.

"I think we got the wrong orders. We didn't order any drinks with alcohol and you served us drinks with alcohol. It smells strong too so I doubt it's a mocktail."

Lumapit na sa amin ang manager. "Ano pong problema, Sir?"

"We didn't order anything spicy and we definitely didn't order any drinks with alcohol. My date doesn't drink anything with alcohol." Fuck Hera drank all of it. I don't even know how much was in there.
