"Where is Damon?" I asked Cath. Mukhang nag-aayos na ito pauwi dahil alas-singko na.

"Ah...pumunta po yata sa rooftop, Attorney. Gusto niyo pong tawagan ko?"

I waved my hand. "He wasn't answering his phone. I'll find him. I'm on my way home anyway. Shouldn't you be on your way home by now?"

"Ah inaantay ko lang po si Hilda, Attorney. May mga travel papers po siyang inaayos sa labas ng office. Magkikita na lang po kami for dinner." Tila alangan na sabi nito sa akin.

I nodded. "Okay. Enjoy your evening then."

Naglakad na ako papuntang elevator. I need to get hold of Damon now. I pressed the button and waited for the carriage to arrive. When it came, the first one I saw was Damon.

"Hey, I was looking for you to ask you something..." My eyes darted towards Enteng who was also inside the carriage. My eyes dropped to the blood at the corner of his lips then to his bloodied sleeves. Damon cleared his throat and I remembered why I came looking for him.

"You were asking me something...?" Damon caught my attention so I snapped back to him.

"I was looking for you," I told Damon as I entered the carriage. Both of them were on opposite sides of the carriage while I remained standing in the middle facing the door. "You weren't answering my calls."

"I was...busy." He cleared his throat. "Why were you looking for me?"

I bit my lip to hide my grin when I remembered why. I think ever since I learned what 'kilig' is, I now enjoy secondhand kilig from other couples since...well I don't have my own. I've never done this before but for Savannah, I will. "Are you busy tomorrow evening? It's a Friday."

Damon sounded unsure when he answered. "No...Jeremiah is sleeping over at my parents' house so I don't have plans. Why...?"

"Let's go out tomorrow. On a date." I glanced at the elevator door which had our reflections on it to see his reaction. Priceless. "Have dinner with me."

"Are you sure it's me you're asking out? On a date?"

I chuckled and remembered that Enteng was here in the carriage with us. "Of course, who else will I be asking out?" I tucked a few strands of my hair behind my ear. "Dress nicely, will you? I'll text you the details tonight." I got off the carriage when we reached the first basement where I parked. "I'll see you, Damon."

I can't stop smiling as I walked. I only halted when I heard someone behind me. "Do you like Damon now, Hera?"

I looked past my shoulder and I saw Enteng holding his jacket over his shoulder. I stopped my hand from reaching out to the corner of his lips where blood started to dry. "I like him."

"Have you decided to date him then?"

"He isn't a bad catch." I pointed to his mouth. "You better have that looked at." I turned back and moved towards my car only to notice that he was parked next to me now that the car between us was gone. Why didn't I notice that earlier?

"Hera-"

"Strangers, remember? You seem to keep forgetting." I got in my car before he could say anything else. I am moving on from that chapter in my life. I should focus on helping out Savannah right now.

I'm at Savannah's house right now and I have Naomi and Noah beside me. I volunteered to babysit the twins tonight for her since their Yaya Gellie went home to the province.

Savannah is picking out the dress she'll wear tonight. While Damon is thinking I will be attending the date, Savannah is preparing herself because really, she's the one attending not me. She glammed up already and she's just choosing which dress to wear.

"I don't think I own a perfect dress." She mumbled.

"You look beautiful in anything, Mommy." Naomi was hugging her doll as she watched her mother.

"Uncle Damon will like anything you wear, Mommy. He always tells us."

"Really? What else does Uncle Damon say?" I said, urging the kid to spill more beans.

"He said Mommy is the prettiest woman he has ever seen."

I nodded. A very Damon thing to say.

"Oh! And that she smells nice."

I grinned. Oh to have the same innocence as these kids.

"And she makes him very happy."

"Mommy, are we gonna have Uncle Damon as our Daddy? Can we have him as our Daddy? Please?" Naomi said as she leaned on my side. I stretched my hand and caressed her arm. Naomi is such a sweet kid. Noah is sweet too but he is a bit more serious sometimes. It amazes me how twins get formed together, grow up together and still have very different personalities.

"I wanna be like Uncle Damon. I wanna be a lawyer too and fight bad guys!"

I chuckled. "I'm a lawyer too."

Naomi's eyes widened. "Girls can be lawyers?"

"Of course." I tucked in a stray strand of her hair behind her ear. "Girls can be who they want to be. You can be a policewoman or doctor or a pilot or reporter like your Mommy or a princess."

Naomi smiled cheekily. "I wanna be like Mommy."

All three of us looked up and Savannah emerged in a champagne-colored dress that hugged her body like a glove. She didn't look like the woman that she was — broken, cheated on, and annulled. Standing in front of us was a strong and beautiful woman ready to take back who was rightfully hers.

"How do I look?"

"You're like a princess, Mommy!" Naomi jumped up.

Noah shrugged. "You look okay. Can we have Uncle Damon as our Daddy?"

Savannah and I chuckled. She bent down until her eyes were on their eye level. "Noah, Naomi, you have a father. Papa Joshua, right?"

"But we want Uncle Damon to be our Daddy, Mommy."

Savannah smiled at her kids. "I know. If I get lucky tonight and Uncle Damon will forgive Mommy, we can ask him. Okay?"

Both kids nodded.

"I love you both."

"We love you too, Mommy."

I felt my heart melt as I watched the three of them. Pinagdarasal ko talaga na maayos ni Savannah at Damon ang problema nila. This is what they could both have. A complete and happy family.

"Thanks, Hera. I owe you so much for looking after the twins tonight."

I shrugged. "If it will get my two friends together, why not?"

Savannah hugged me. "The twins will be alright. Their food has been prepared." She smiled at me as she picked up her clutch. "They are still young so they won't cause you any headaches like the Llamanzares twins."

I shook my head. "Your twins are the sweetest."

"Wish me luck."

I pushed her to the door. "He texted me he was on his way. You better go now, Savannah. Break a leg."

The twins had their own stuff to do so I just settled in to review the topics for my first class next week.
