The past days have been interesting. With Enteng at home, my father pulled him to every possible event in the province. My father has a lot of friends and I mean A LOT.

I would have given myself a medal for not laughing while he was telling me the story of how his day went with my father and mother. A smile might have escaped but I tried really hard not to.

We've been back in the city for a week now and my work is stacked. I go home to the same place, drive the same car, and work in the same office but somehow, something is different. It seemed like the heavy cloud hovering over everywhere I am in has been lifted and I see everything in a different iridescent light.

The bouquet of flowers on my desk should not be surprising to me but somehow, I still get surprised.

I felt Karina, Irene, and Quinn stand beside me in front of my office door where I was looking at the big bunch of flowers on my table.

I sighed. "I don't know where to place them right now. My house is full of it." I cocked my head to the side. "How about you give one flower to each table?"

Irene almost sprinted to my desk and gently retrieved the bouquet. She fished out the note and handed it to me. "Thank you, Attorney!"

I smiled as I entered my office to read his note.

Hope you have a good day today, Hot-torney.

I'll catch you later.

I love you.

I fished out my phone and sent him a thank you text. He doesn't answer immediately and he told me last night that he has an early meeting today. As soon as we got back, he jumped into a lot of meetings with various people and organisations. He told me he never felt so alive since he started working.

"Knock, knock."

Looking up, I saw Savannah's radiant smile as she leaned on my door.

"You look happy."

"I do, thanks to you."

"What can I help you with?"

She gave me a sheepish smile as she tucked some hair strands behind her ear. "I have asked Damon if I can take you out for lunch. Just a catch-up. I think we have a lot to talk about."

"Sure..."

She waved before disappearing into Damon's office. I shook my head. I wonder how much work Damon can do with his girlfriend there.

Savannah chose a quiet bistro nearby. She really looked different from the last time I saw her. Her skin is glowing, her hair looks fresh from a haircut, and her lips are coloured with a natural shade of pink that suits her complexion.
