The next few days of training involved Juniper helping Wade, Maverick, and Adrian with survival skills. At least, it was her trying to help them. She also ended up sticking with Kunai and Chakrams, training with them almost every single day.
When the careers weren't looking, she also continued to befriend District Seven and District Twelve, offering her help and them also offering their help. District Twelve helped Juniper with survival skills they knew while District Seven helped her with fighting.
Juniper also combined her alliances with District Seven and Twelve, so now they were one big secret alliance instead of separate ones.
With all her days spent in the Capitol, Juniper had also yet to see Coriolanus Snow, which she was thankful for.
Juniper spent her time at night meditating, trying to enhance some of her senses as well. She notices when working in the fighting and survival sections, she had very good hearing. She also noticed that if she focused enough and she didn't have heavy footwear on, she could feel vibrations of where people were located. It was hard to sneak attack her, trainers learned.
"Okay, your evaluations are today. You need to show as much skill as you can and score high. The higher you score, the more sponsors you're gonna get, and that'll make it easier for Mags and I to talk to Capitol folk and get them to spend their money on you." Finnick said.
"Yes sir." Juniper said. Finnick glared at her which Juniper laughed at. "What? You're our mentor, I can't call you sir?"
Finnick just rolled his eyes and Juniper laughed. Wade looked between the two and shrugged to himself, not understanding.
Wade and Juniper sat in the waiting room as the beginning districts got called in one by one. While Wade and Juniper were talking, Juniper noticed Sylvia and Sawyer staring and smiling at her. Sylvia gave a little wave, which Juniper returned with a smile on her face.
Wade turned to face District Seven, and they turned away like nothing happened.
"What's going on between you and seven?" Wade asked, his voice in a whisper, making sure nobody around them would hear.
"What do you mean?" Juniper shrugged. Wade gave her a knowing look, and she sighed. "Okay, we might have a little alliance."
"You're with the careers, Juniper!" Wade whispered yelled. Looking around to make sure nobody heard. "You can't ally with everyone."
"Well, I'm not killing everyone. I can have friends." Juniper said.
"Everyone but one is dying, you can't be friends with everyone." Wade said. "Who else are you allied with?"
